Lucas rubbed his eyes and looked carefully once more.

The Alto Mare?
Lucas sat up straight and searched all over the Breeding House, but he couldn't find her anywhere.
Could there be a glitch?

A ripple of realization stirred in Lucas's heart.
He subconsciously looked toward the counter.
"Lilli?"
What's wrong?
Seeing Lucas looking at the counter, Lilligant asked curiously.
Lucas shook his head, then tentatively called out.
"Latias?"
Latias was so startled that she sat bolt upright, staring at Lucas.
How does he know I'm here?
In Lucas's eyes, a transparent figure stood up.
It really is Latias.
Lucas was incredibly shocked.
"Who is Latias, Uncle?"
Shauna looked at Lucas and asked in confusion.
Seeing that she had been discovered by Lucas, Latias decisively deactivated her invisibility.
"Lilli?!"
Startled by the red and white Pokémon that suddenly appeared in front of her.
"Wow!"
Shauna's mouth dropped open, seemingly puzzled as to why it had suddenly appeared.
Lucas looked at the revealed Latias. With her red and white body and a shape resembling a jet, her kind was honored as the Alto Mare, and also known as the Eon Jets.
Lucas, however, liked to call her the Plane Sister.
"How did you find me?"
A voice rang out in his mind, causing Lucas to pause for a moment.
Realizing it was Latias speaking to him via Telepathy, he let a lie slip out effortlessly.
"Aura. My Aura told me you were here."
Latias had a sudden realization. So he was an Aura Guardian?
No wonder he could answer her.
"Gengar gargar?"
Who is that?
Gengar brought snacks out from the kitchen and, seeing a Pokémon he had never met before in the Breeding House, asked curiously.
Lucas introduced Latias to everyone and the Pokémon in the Breeding House, and after introducing everyone to Latias, he asked why she had come to the Breeding House.
"Because a friend of mine at sea told me that if I was bored, I could come check out this Breeding House, so I came to take a look."
Hearing the voice in his heart, Lucas thought it was most likely Lapras.
"Is Lapras doing well?"
Hearing Lucas's question, Latias, who was curiously looking around the Breeding House, replied, "It's doing quite well. It's leading the Lapras herd to guard the waters of Twinleaf Town. Ever since I met it, it seems to have been guarding this area of the sea."
Hearing this, Lucas felt relieved. It was good that everything was fine.
"So, you came to the Breeding House to relax?"
Hearing Lucas's words, Latias nodded. "You could say that. It's because it was too boring; my brother left with a human."
"We clearly agreed to spend the rest of our time traveling the world together, but then he turned around and abandoned me."
Latias was complaining about her brother, Latios.
Hearing this, the expression on Lucas's face became extremely complex.
So—that Latios belonging to Tobias that would appear out of nowhere soon... is her brother?
"The rest of your time?"
Lucas asked curiously.
Latias nodded. "Yes, because we have to go to Alto Mare to visit our elder sister, and then take over her duty of guarding Alto Mare."
Lucas searched his memory before a faint impression surfaced.
The City of Water, Alto Mare. It was the movie where the Alto Mare first appeared. In it, a Latias transformed into a girl named Bianca. Her brother, Latios, turned into the Soul Dew to protect Alto Mare, so she stayed there forever to guard the city and her brother's Soul Dew.
So the Alto Mares guarding Alto Mare were actually different individuals?
Lucas thought to himself.
"Alto Mare... Is your sister a Latias who transforms into a young girl named Bianca?"
Latias was pleasantly surprised. "You know her?"
Latias flew in front of Lucas and stopped, looking at him curiously.
"I really admire her and her brother. I heard her brother gave up everything to become a part of Alto Mare to protect it."
At this point, she suddenly became a bit indignant. "Even though they're both brothers, that brother could give up everything to protect his sister and Alto Mare, while my brother abandoned his sister just to go out and enjoy battling."
Listening to Latias's grumbling, Lucas couldn't help but laugh, then reached out and patted her small head.
The feel—"

Before Latias could react, Lucas quickly withdrew his hand and said, "It's okay, Latias. If he went to battle with a human, you can stay at the Breeding House to pass the time. You can play with Gengar, Lilligant, and the others, as well as Shauna and Tomoyo."
Seeing Shauna raise her little hand, Lucas smiled.
Alcremie ran out of the kitchen and handed Latias a piece of dessert.
Latias opened her mouth and took a bite.
"Mmm~"
So delicious.
Latias narrowed her eyes.
Gengar also shared his snacks with her.
Latias wasn't shy and soon hit it off with Gengar and the others.
Of course, she wasn't being polite either.
Watching Latias playing with Shauna and the others, Lucas thought for a moment and then clapped his hands.
"Latias, why don't you stay for dinner tonight? I'll make you a feast."
He'd use gourmet food to make her stay first.
Lucas was making his calculations.
"Okay!"
Latias's voice rang out in Lucas's heart.
Lucas nodded, and then Shauna and the others took Latias to the backyard.
Stepping into the backyard, Latias instantly felt surrounded by happiness.
What a magical place.
Latias said.
Lucas sat in the lounge area, constantly thinking about the events of Alto Mare.
That movie could be said to be one of Lucas's favorites, especially the end where Bianca kissed Ash's cheek. However, because it was released so early and happened to go up against 'The Cat Returns' and 'The Phantom of Baker Street', its popularity wasn't very high. Many who joined the fandom later hadn't seen it.
But the plot in that movie was truly excellent.
"Let's find time to visit Alto Mare, Gengar, Lilligant."
Lucas said.
"Gengar gargar"
"Lilli~"
Okay.
Speaking of the Soul Dew, Lucas remembered that one of the gifts he received was a Soul Dew.
Lucas went back to his room to look and indeed found a Soul Dew.
"I'll give it to the Plane Sister as a meeting gift."
Lucas said.
After dinner, Latias had already become close friends with everyone in the Breeding House. Watching them play, Lucas called out to Latias.
Latias curiously flew in front of Lucas. "What is it, Lucas?"
Lucas pulled a Soul Dew out of his pocket.
"A gift for you. I hope you like it."
Latias's mouth fell open.
"The—The Soul Dew?!"
Latias's voice exploded in Lucas's mind.
"How do you have a Soul Dew? Are you also a Latios?!"
Latias circled around Lucas twice. "No, that's not right. You don't have the scent of a Latios."
Lucas used a string to secure the Soul Dew, pulled Latias's head toward him, and tied the Soul Dew around her neck.
"I'm not a Latios, and I'm not a Latias. This was a gift from someone else, and now I'm giving it to you."
Lucas patted her head and said with a smile, "I hope your life at the Breeding House from now on will be relaxed and happy."
Latias looked at Lucas with her big eyes and then smiled.
"Okay~"
"Thank you, Lucas."
After saying that, she gave Lucas a kiss on the cheek.
Lucas touched his cheek, his grin nearly reaching his ears.
No Latios or Latias could ever refuse a Soul Dew.
Never.
