Chapter 345 - Chapter 345: Have you eaten?

After lying in the lounge and explaining the situation regarding the awakening of Regigigas in Snowpoint City to Cynthia, I had intended to lie down for a moment before getting up to make something delicious for Gengar and the others to reward them.

As it turned out, while lying there, I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Gengar floated over, originally intending to ask Lucas when he would make something delicious. After discovering that Lucas had fallen asleep on the recliner, it scratched its big bottom, then floated over to the counter and asked Lilligant to help fetch a blanket from underneath it.

"Lilli?"

He's asleep?

Gengar nodded, and after taking the blanket handed over by Lilligant, it floated back to Lucas's side and gently covered him with it.

Ninetales squeezed out from behind the counter; it had just been chatting with the Lapras Siblings. It glanced at Gengar, who was covering Lucas with the blanket, and walked over.

"Shu."

I'm back.

Gengar floated in the air, looking at Ninetales with a giggle.

"Gen gengar."

Leave it to you.

Ninetales returned to Lucas's side, looked at the sleeping Lucas, and after extending its tongue to lick his cheek, it yawned and then lay down beside Lucas, closing its eyes.

*Tap, tap, tap.*

Shauna, bringing Tomoyo who was holding the Dratini egg, ran down from upstairs. They were holding toys and were just about to call Lucas to play with them, but they saw Lucas lying motionless in the lounge.

Shauna slowed her steps and walked softly with Tomoyo to Lucas's side. Looking at Lucas's sleeping form, the two exchanged a glance. Afterward, Shauna took Tomoyo's hand and walked to the other side of the lounge, sitting down on the carpet just like that.

Placing the gifts and dolls they had received for Christmas on the blanket, the two little girls started playing with Chimecho.

Gengar watched the two little girls playing on the carpet. After thinking for a moment, it put down the remote control and floated over to them.

"Gen gengar."

I want to play too.

Gengar stretched out its hand and pushed Shauna. Shauna pouted and scooted over, and Gengar sat down right where Shauna had been sitting.

Shauna was nudged by Gengar's bottom. She stared at Gengar, puffing out her cheeks.

"Gengar is so mean, pushing me with your bottom."

Gengar placed both hands on its face, pressed its thumbs into its chubby cheeks to make them cave in, then opened its palms upward and stuck out its tongue.

"Blehh."

Shauna lowered her eyelids, then, catching Gengar off guard, she headbutted its stomach.

"Take my Iron Head!"

Gengar: (°A°)

Gengar was sent flying directly. It floated in the air, staring at Shauna. Shauna also stood up; wearing her Mime Jr. costume, she wasn't afraid of Gengar at all and stared back.

"Gen gengar."

Looks like we still need to have a fight, right?

Shauna remained silent.

She silently took out the small wooden sword she had asked Lucas to carve for her, and Gengar also pulled out a large wooden sword.

"I am Mine Jr.!"

Shauna held her sword with both hands and bowed to Gengar.

"Gen gengar."

"I am Dragonite!"

To the side, sitting on the carpet, Tomoyo, dressed in her Dragonite outfit, held the Dratini egg. Watching the sudden commotion between Shauna and the Pokémon Gengar, her delicate little face was filled with confusion.

What—is—this?

Sitting on the high stool behind the counter, Lilligant watched Shauna and Gengar engaging in their martial arts duel and couldn't help but sigh.

It's all Lucas's fault. Every time he tells Shauna bedtime stories, he tells these kinds of stories, leading Shauna and Gengar to constantly engage in sword duels, practicing things like the Eighteen Subduing Ghost Palms or the Beautiful Ghost Staff Technique—

Besides, the Breeding House has a pile of toys for them to play with. Lilligant looked at the wooden knives, wooden swords, and wooden sticks piled under the counter and kicked them further inside with her foot.

Watching the human and Pokémon already starting their duel, Gothitelle had gone to the Cottage as soon as it returned, and Dash was out making deliveries. Now, she was the only one left who could stop them.

Lilligant thought for a moment, jumped off the high stool, ran to the kitchen, found the snack area, grabbed a big bag of melon seeds, then ran back behind the counter, sat on the stool, and beckoned Tomoyo over. Then, the two of them started munching on melon seeds, swinging their little feet, and watching the Breeding House's daily martial arts tournament.

Ninetales opened its eyes, glanced over, and gently lifted Lucas's head with one tail. Then, it placed another tail under his head and let him lie back down, acting as a pillow. The tail he was resting on covered Lucas's ears, seemingly trying to block out the noise for him.

In his daze, Lucas changed his sleeping position. Hugging one tail in his arms and resting his head on another, feeling the fluffy comfort and the scent of his usual body wash, Lucas slept incredibly soundly.

Although he heard things like "Gengar, take my sword—", under the gentle patting of Ninetales' other tails, Lucas fell into a deep sleep.

If anyone who knew them were here, seeing this scene, they would definitely say that having a Ninetales is truly great—gentle, considerate, and understanding.

Regice: What did you say?! Gentle and considerate?! Understanding?! Warming your body, right?

Seeing that Lucas's sleep wasn't affected, Lilligant continued munching on melon seeds with peace of mind.

When it was Shauna's turn to attack, she raised her small wooden sword high and slashed down with great force.

"Eighty, eighty, eighty!"

Gengar: (°)

Isn't that what you shout when using a hammer?!

Shauna continued to attack relentlessly, and Gengar raised its sword to block.

The human and the ghost fought for eighty-one rounds and were still evenly matched. Shauna wiped the sweat from her forehead and panted heavily.

"It seems I can't hold back anymore. It's time to use my strongest move."

Shauna finished speaking, closed her eyes, and then raised the wooden sword high.

Seeing this, a look of horror appeared on Gengar's face.

Even Lilligant sat up straight.

"Lilli—"

Is it coming, that strike—

Tomoyo looked confused; wasn't this the same posture?

Could it be—

Tomoyo's eyes widened.

Could it be that little Shauna can use Pokémon moves?!

"Take this, Behemoth! Blade!"

Shauna's childish voice was extremely high-pitched. Immediately after, she seemed to notice something, swallowed her saliva, gently put down the wooden sword, and then gave a giggle toward the door.

"Hehe."

Gengar's big bottom tightened abruptly, and sweat couldn't stop pouring down its forehead.

It carefully turned its head to look at the door. Seeing the familiar figure, it instantly retracted its head, then turned back, then turned back again. After turning and looking back for the third time, Gengar's little face instantly fell.

I, Gengar, am doomed—

Gothitelle, standing at the door, held an order. A Trainer from Twinleaf Town had approached it, asking if the Breeding House could take in a Pokémon for breeding. After Gothitelle completed the registration, since the Trainer was busy, Gothitelle brought the Pokémon that needed to breed at the Breeding House back itself, thinking it would let them acclimate to the environment of the Breeding House first.

Just as it arrived at the door, it saw Gengar and Shauna "dueling," and Lucas was sleeping not far from their scuffle. Looking at Lucas's slightly furrowed brows, Gothitelle took a deep breath.

Then it revealed a "gentle" smile.

"Gothitelle."

Behemoth Blade?!

Shauna's eyeballs rolled around quickly, and then she shoved the wooden sword into Gengar's arms.

Gengar: ?! ∑(°△°)

Immediately after, Shauna's legs went weak, and she knelt on the carpet.

"Ah, I'm so weak—"

Watching Shauna kneeling stiffly, Gengar fell into an existential crisis.

∑(ǒaǒ||)/Can you even do that?!

It just so happened that Gothitelle was holding a quilt given to the Breeding House by Grandpa Manny and Grandma. So, it tossed the quilt, used its psychic power to manipulate the quilt to wrap Gengar and Shauna up, and then used its psychic power to make them float in the air.

It looked at the Ariados beside it and asked Ariados to use String Shot.

Afterward, there were two "cocoon babies" hanging in the lounge of the Breeding House, swaying in the breeze.

Shauna's little face and Gengar's big face were exposed.

Shauna was wrapped in the quilt, with the highly durable bug silk on the outside. The quilt covered her entire body, leaving only her head exposed.

She exchanged a glance with Gengar, who was hanging next to her. Pouting, she said: "Poor little Shauna has been hung up, and she's going to be eaten by the big spider soon."

The Gengar on the side was also looking aggrieved.

"Gen gengar."

Is there anyone who can save me—

Gothitelle floated to the front of the counter, looking at Lilligant, who was sitting on the high stool behind the counter, munching on melon seeds and watching the show, and sighed.

"Gothitelle?"

Is this how you take care of them?

Lilligant smiled sweetly.

"Lilli~"

Isn't this pretty good? So full of energy~

"Gothitelle."

You have the nerve to say that. What if they get hurt somewhere?

"Lilli."

Gengar knows when to hold back.

Gothitelle wanted to say something else, but Lilligant placed the shelled melon seeds in her hand and handed them to Gothitelle.

"Lilli~"

"Alright, alright, don't be mad. Here, have some sunflower seeds."

Gothitelle was instantly rendered speechless.

"You... I... Ah, this..."

Gothitelle hesitated for a moment, then took the shelled sunflower seeds and popped them into her mouth.

"Gothitelle." Don't let it happen again. (Munch, munch, munch)

Lilligant smiled sweetly. "Lilli~"

Got it, sister.

"Gothitelle is so mean," Shauna said, sounding dissatisfied while hanging in the air.

Gothitelle, Lilligant, and Tomoyo looked up at her and Gengar.

With only her head visible, Shauna pouted and said, "Lilligant was clearly at fault too, but she bribed you with just sunflower seeds. This referee is corrupt! I'm reporting this to the authorities."

Hearing Shauna's "Lucas-style quotes," Gothitelle glanced at Lucas, who was still sleeping.

"Gothitelle..." I can't let him tell little Shauna stories next time.

"Lilli." Didn't you listen just as intently?

Lilligant teased her good sister from the side.

"Ugh, I don't care, it's corrupt, it's corrupt!"

Shauna started swinging in the air.

Seeing this, Gengar started swinging along with her.

"Gen gengar, Gen gengar." I don't care either, I don't care either...

Gothitelle had a headache from the noise and was afraid Lucas would be woken up, so she stuffed two sausages into Shauna and Gengar's mouths.

With her words blocked, Shauna took a Bite of the sausage. Delicious. And so, they started eating the sausages just like that.

Gengar did the same.

Seeing that they had quieted down, Gothitelle floated back to the Ariados and Beautifly at the entrance.

"Gothitelle." Let's go, I'll take you to see the Breeding House.

Ariados and Beautifly exchanged a glance and then nodded weakly. "We will be very obedient."

Gothitelle froze, then looked at Gengar and Shauna, who were hanging in the air happily eating their sausages.

It's over, their image is ruined... Gothitelle felt a massive headache coming on.

She sighed and led Ariados and Beautifly toward the backyard.

Gengar looked at Shauna, who was still eating her sausage beside her, and thought of a good idea.

Clenching the sausage in its mouth, it swung its body and bumped into Shauna.

Shauna was knocked side to side, and the sausage in her mouth almost fell out.

"So meannnn..." Shauna said, her words muffled.

Gengar pressed the attack, and stubborn little Shauna launched a counterattack.

Thus, passersby outside the Breeding House could see two white cocoons hanging in the rest area, currently bumping into each other.

Seeing that they could even play like this, Lilligant chuckled.

Just then, Mrs. Fujino had finished helping Mime Jr. in the Canteen and walked into the Breeding House. She saw two extra cocoons in the rest area, looked up, and saw two familiar faces.

The two cocoons were currently fighting. She silently stepped out of the Breeding House and went to the Canteen to drag her husband over.

Mr. Fujino came over, took one look, and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Little Shauna, how did you get yourself into this?"

Shauna turned her head to look at her parents. Just as she was about to explain, Gengar ambushed her, sending her swinging high into the air.

"Gengar, you ambushed me again!"

Shauna launched a counterattack. "Little Tomoyo, help me explain..."

"Because little Shauna and Gengar were fighting in the Breeding House, Gothitelle caught them when she got back, so she hung them up."

Tomoyo explained on Shauna's behalf.

Mrs. Fujino looked at Shauna, who seemed to be enjoying herself, exchanged a glance with Mr. Fujino, then went to the counter to pick up the Breeding House's camera. She walked back to the rest area, found a good angle, and kept clicking the shutter.

Click, click. Shauna's "dark history" was being recorded one photo at a time by her mother.

"They're actually quite cute, little Shauna and Gengar like this." Mr. Fujino stood beside her, looked at the photos taken, and said with a smile.

Mrs. Fujino put away the camera. "Let them play here. This child, really, she can make a game out of anything."

Mr. Fujino laughed heartily. "That's because Gengar is here."

Mrs. Fujino nodded in agreement and then said, "Let's go. I heard there are new Pokémon being boarded at the Breeding House. Let's go take a look, and let's not wake up Lucas." After saying that, she walked toward the backyard.

"Little Shauna, do your best, you can't lose to Gengar." After saying that, Mr. Fujino looked at Gengar. "Gengar, you have to do your best too. You can't lose to a little girl like Shauna, can you?"

Flames of determination burned in Shauna and Gengar's eyes.

Seeing that his provocation was successful, Mr. Fujino walked toward the backyard, satisfied.

After a while, Gengar suddenly made a funny face at Shauna.

Taken by surprise, Shauna burst into laughter, and the sausage in her mouth fell out.

"My sausage! Gengar, that's a foul!" Shauna said indignantly.

Gengar grinned. Hehehe.

"Hmph!" Shauna looked at Tomoyo. "Little Tomoyo, could you help me pick up the sausage?"

Tomoyo helped her pick up the sausage, then looked at Shauna's height. "I'm not tall enough."

Shauna let out a sorrowful cry. "Noooo, my sausage..."

Looking at the sausage in Tomoyo's hand—which looked incredibly delicious in color, scent, and shape—Shauna fell into despair. Why, why must you treat a little girl like this...

The most distant distance in the world is when a delicious sausage is right within reach, yet you cannot eat it.

"Woooo... mm..."

Before Shauna could even cry, she found the sausage back in her mouth. It turned out Gogoat, who had returned from a delivery, had used Vine Whip to pick it up for her.

Shauna chuckled and happily ate the sausage.

She and Gengar exchanged a look, and seeing each other's appearance, they couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"That was close." Shauna quickly bit down on the sausage. It almost fell when she was laughing just now; good thing she was quick.

After finishing the sausage, Shauna yawned. She felt quite comfortable being wrapped up, so she closed her eyes and went to sleep.

Lucas lay on the rocking chair and stretched. He opened his eyes, stared quietly at the ceiling, and discovered two white objects floating above.

What is that? He rubbed his eyes.

The two white objects focused in his eyes; they were two wrapped-up cocoons.

What is that?! Did I transmigrate again?! Did I transmigrate into a world of spider crises? Or has my Breeding House been taken over by spiders?

Lucas jumped off the rocking chair in fright, and Ninetales instantly stood up, staring at the door.

"Vulpix?" There are no enemies? Sensing no dangerous aura outside the door, it tilted its head and looked at Lucas.

Lucas was still staring at the two cocoon babies above his head.

He realized it was Shauna and Gengar. He breathed a sigh of relief.

He was almost scared to death. Waking up from a nap to find two giant cocoons hanging above his head, he almost went to meet his Great-Aunt.

Ninetales had also noticed, but it had known what happened all along, so it lazily yawned. It had been startled by Lucas just now, thinking there were enemies.

"What happened here?" Lucas looked at the two "cocoon babies"; Gengar and Shauna were fast asleep.

Tomoyo explained. After listening to Tomoyo's explanation, Lucas didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

You guys are so carefree, being able to sleep through this.

He was just about to find a ladder to get Shauna and Gengar down when he saw Vespiquen flying over from behind the counter.

"Bee." When are we eating? I'm hungry.

"Oh, soon. By the way, Vespiquen, come help me with something." Since Vespiquen was right there, Lucas asked her to come over and help get Shauna and Gengar down.

"Bee?" What are these things? Vespiquen flew over and was startled too, but after seeing clearly who was inside the cocoon babies, she asked in confusion.

"Bee?" What happened to them?

Lucas gave a brief explanation.

Once Vespiquen understood, she helped lower them down.

Vespiquen used her claws to slice open the outer silk, and Lucas let Shauna and Gengar out.

Held in Lucas's arms, Shauna groggily opened her eyes. Realizing it was Lucas, she asked in a daze, "Is it time to eat?"

Beside her, Gengar also yawned, sat on the chair, and rubbed its eyes. "Gen gengar..." Is it time to eat... Its tone was as groggy as a child's.

Hearing that the first thing they said upon opening their eyes was "Is it time to eat?", Lucas was completely speechless.

"You two, only thinking about food. Go wash up quickly, I'm going to go make dinner now." After saying that, he pinched their cheeks.

"Okay." "Gen gengar." Alright, I want a super-sized portion.

"Got it, go on now."
