Though her tone wasn't particularly polite, her words were filled with genuine affection and concern for him.
Like all mothers-in-law, Li Lilin found her prospective son-in-law increasingly agreeable the more she saw him.
After spending so much time together, she had come to treat Fu Shan as if he were her own son.
That was why she greeted him so warmly upon seeing him, her familiarity tinged with warmth.
As Fu Shan smiled, a happy curve formed at the corner of his lips. He was about to say something when his phone rang insistently from his pocket.
Reluctantly, he released the three little ones and Xu Yifei, instinctively pulling out his phone. The large screen clearly displayed the caller ID: "Zhou Qin."
