Chapter 298 - Chapter 298: The End, Thawing

The northern reaches, the Freljord.

Lissandra sat on her throne, looking at the large figure and the small figure before her.

The large one was Willump. The small one was Nunu. After going through all kinds of hardships, this pair, who called themselves the Snowland Twins, had finally appeared before her.

As for everything this pair had experienced on their way to her, even Lissandra had to offer a word of praise. She was surprised by Nunu's courage.

A child only a few years old had gone on an adventure through a stage she had built. In essence, there had been no danger to his life, but the problem was that Nunu did not know that.

Everything he had experienced had been real to him. Speaking with demigods, fighting frost wolves, standing before the sea and thinking about how to cross it, climbing snowcapped peaks, exploring ancient secrets.

The experiences he had gained over these few months were richer than what ordinary people gained over several centuries.

"Lissandra, you really are a big villain!"

At the sound of the child's scolding voice, Lissandra came back to herself and looked down at Nunu, who was stretching his neck, raising his head, and pointing at her. The corner of her mouth seemed to curve up faintly.

"I did not expect you to appear before me." Lissandra rose from her icy throne. When she said those words, her feelings were very complicated.

How should she put it? She felt that this was a little awkward.

"You thought you could stop us? I'm definitely going to find my mom!" Nunu shouted.

When they had reached Winged Mountain earlier, Lissandra had suddenly appeared and sent him and Willump flying with one palm. Nunu remembered that very clearly.

And inside the ruins within Winged Mountain, Nunu had already learned the reason the yeti race had disappeared.

It was all because of this bad woman in front of him!

Nunu bared his teeth at Lissandra, then grabbed a snowball and threw it at her. To add more killing power, the little guy had even deliberately put a small stone inside the snowball.

But before the snowball could fly to Lissandra's side, it had already been frozen into a chunk of ice and fallen to the ground.

Black floating ice writhed, and Lissandra slowly walked down the steps.

And in the void, she saw Nilah secretly laughing.

Seeing that, Lissandra lowered her head and realized that she was actually a little angry right now.

This scene should have been changed! With her personality, having to play along with a little guy like Nunu was annoying. So annoying!

Was this not beneath her?

It was absolutely beneath her!

Not to mention Nilah was hiding in the air and watching her make a fool of herself!

"Come. Let me see what you are capable of. If you want to find your mother, you must defeat me." Lissandra said the line that made even herself feel embarrassed.

Unlike the troubled Lissandra, Nunu excitedly raised his flute and shouted, "Willump, let's go!"

"Roar!"

Willump beat his chest with his four massive claws, carried Nunu, and charged toward Lissandra.

One day later.

When Logan arrived in the Freljord from the Twin Cities, what he saw was Nilah with her mouth frozen shut and displeasure in her eyes, as well as Lissandra, who was sitting on an ice chair and quietly watching him.

Beneath her cool, distant face was a trace of anger. After a long moment, Lissandra said, "You're back?"

"What? Has the matter still not been resolved?" Logan looked at Lissandra and shrank his neck.

Why did it feel like the witch was not in a good mood?

"Mmph, mmph." Nilah started shouting from the side.

Then came Layka's voice. She was there too, looking at Logan with a smile as she said, "It seems to have succeeded. Nunu successfully mastered that power and defeated Lady Lissandra."

"Mmph, mmph!" Nilah planted her hands on her hips and straightened her back, seemingly agreeing with Layka's words.

"Tell me what happened," Logan said, amused, as he asked Layka.

Layka first glanced at Lissandra. Seeing that Lissandra gave no reaction, she finally said, "Nunu created an illusion that made Lady Lissandra shed tears."

"What? You cried?" Logan looked at Lissandra.

"Click."

Dark True Ice appeared beneath Logan's feet and spread upward, freezing his ankles.

Lissandra looked at Logan with a cold expression and said softly, "What do you think?"

"That was definitely fake. How could you possibly cry?" Logan immediately said.

But after thinking about it again, Logan felt that this matter was true.

Because in Nunu's adventure game, the way he finally defeated Lissandra really had been by making Lissandra remember the three sisters in an illusion. In plain terms, it was emotional redemption?

Nunu had used his own warmth and kindness, relying on a wave of hope to pierce through the dark witch!

It was a little like talk-no-jutsu in a shonen manga!

But this world was different. Although Logan had never emphasized it, he knew Lissandra had already been changed by him. That much could be seen from the fact that she was becoming more and more human.

Thinking of that, Logan felt a little disappointed.

It would have been great if he had been there at the time. The witch crying and all that, if he had recorded it with magic, it would definitely become Lissandra's dark history in the future!

But after glancing at Nilah beside him, whose mouth had been frozen shut, Logan thought it over and dismissed that suicidal idea.

The witch was powerful. He could not provoke her. Absolutely could not provoke her.

"Have Layka guide Nunu into a dream and tell him to unseal the True Ice. Everything on your side should be ready, right?" Lissandra said to Logan.

"Yeah. Everything is ready." Logan nodded.

"Jax, Yi, Karma, and Swain's side, have them prepare as well," Lissandra said again.

To fight the Watchers required many powerful beings. Although when the True Ice was unsealed and the Watchers emerged, they would be in a weakened state, even so, they could not afford to be careless.

After all, in the battle between Anivia and the Watchers back then, Anivia had been reduced to shattered bones and broken flesh.

Lissandra did not think she was stronger than Anivia. At most, perhaps she had a sixty-forty chance, or maybe a fifty-fifty chance.

Because of that, against the Watchers, the witch would be careful, careful, and more careful still.

"No need. Azir's side is also very important, and Swain needs to guard Noxus in case someone tries to cause trouble," Logan said.

"Are you sure? That will leave us short on manpower." Lissandra frowned.

"Short on manpower? We've got more than enough!" Logan chuckled.

After gaining Thresh's acknowledgment, Logan's guardian power had evolved.

He had become someone jointly acknowledged by all the deities in the Spirit Blossom realm. In the truest sense, he had become the Spirit Blossom Guardian.

Because of that, Logan now possessed a limit of seven Spirit Blossom points!

In other words, Logan could call out seven Spirit Blossom demigods to help him!

Thresh, Ahri, Syndra, Cassiopeia, Riven, Evelynn, Kindred.

To be honest, Thresh alone was enough to surpass Karma, Swain, and Janna, three demigods, combined.

Because of that, there was absolutely no possibility of not having enough people!

"All right. Since you're certain, then let us begin." Seeing Logan so confident, Lissandra said nothing more.

She stood and looked toward Layka. "Are you ready?"

Layka nodded and said, "We can begin, Lady Lissandra."

Over the course of this journey, Layka had already come to trust Lissandra. She truly was protecting the Freljord.

Because of that, Layka was now helping Lissandra wholeheartedly.

And because of her tribe's special nature, there were many areas where Layka could help Lissandra, such as interpreting ancient songs and ancient drawings, providing Lissandra with some ancient secrets that even she did not know.

"Then, let us begin."

"Unfreeze the Void!"

The witch raised her hand, and the power of Dreamwalking opened, pouring into Layka.

Logan also took a deep breath, turned his head, and looked down into the depths beneath the icy Howling Abyss.

The curtain fell. The thaw began.

Resolving the Freljord's Void crisis would be enough to keep Runeterra stable for a hundred years.
