Three days passed before Levi finally managed to sort out the power of the Celestials within him.
The Law of Devouring was like a pack of ravenous wolves—now reined in by his Concept of Greed.
He spread out his hand. In his palm hovered a stable black vortex, through which he could faintly sense the desires of countless lives scattered across the corners of the universe.
Not far away, Wanda's fingertips flickered with crimson light as she, too, digested her gains.
Just as Levi stood up, a golden portal tore open in midair.
A projection of Loki stepped out. His outline was blurred, his energy unstable.
"The fluctuation frequency in the Void is increasing," Loki said, his voice laced with exhaustion. "Three days ago, it was once per hour. Now it's once every ten minutes."
Levi frowned. "Is the Anti-Monitor waking up?"
"Uncertain. But we're running out of time."
Loki waved his hand, conjuring a star map filled with dozens of glowing points.
"Kang the Conqueror left behind a file documenting his method of opposing the Anti-Monitor." He pointed to three of the brightest nodes. "Kang believed the Anti-Monitor's power comes from the Void. The opposite of Void is existence. If we can gather sufficiently diverse forms of existence, we can construct a barrier."
Loki indicated the three points.
"These three universes have the most unique energy systems. Designated X-7, C-4, and M-9. Kang believed that by understanding the essence of these systems, one could find the key to countering the Void."
Levi's gaze settled on the X-7 node.
"You want me to go?"
"Yes," Loki replied. "Kang failed because he couldn't comprehend the underlying logic of different energy systems. But you can."
Levi fell silent for a few seconds.
"Can a cosmic overlord freely traverse the multiverse?"
"No." Loki shook his head. "Your power would contaminate other universes and trigger collapse. If you force your way in, that universe would be destroyed within three days."
He paused.
"I assume you have a solution."
Dimensional Invasion.
When he first copied it, the clone it created had been too weak to matter. But now things were different—he was a cosmic overlord, and the upper limit of his clone had risen accordingly.
"What's the power limit for multiversal travel?" Levi asked.
"In theory, early-stage Skyfather level," Loki said. "Anything higher will be rejected by multiversal laws."
Levi raised his right hand, activating the power of Dimensional Invasion.
A pitch-black fissure appeared in his palm, containing his own power—compressed to its absolute limit.
He closed his eyes, his consciousness sinking inward as he began separating power from himself, shaping an independent entity.
This wasn't simple energy division. The clone needed independent consciousness—able to think, to fight, and to retain the core function of the Superpower Copier System.
He constructed its framework with nine laws, then infused it with a faint strand of the Concept of Greed.
The framework trembled, solidified.
A figure identical to him formed within his consciousness—and opened its eyes.
Its power stabilized at early Skyfather level.
Levi opened his eyes. Before him floated a semi-transparent figure.
The clone spoke, its voice identical to his: "Original."
"Go to Universe X-7," Levi ordered. "Learn their abilities. Understand their power system."
The clone nodded.
Loki's projection watched from the side, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.
"Time flows differently there. You may be gone a long time. Don't expose too much of your strength. If you encounter danger, survival comes first."
The clone said nothing more and turned toward the temporal gate Loki had opened.
Beyond the gate lay a chaotic passage.
Just as the clone was about to step through, Levi suddenly spoke:
"Wait."
The clone stopped.
A streak of golden light shot from Levi's palm and sank into the clone's forehead.
"This contains part of my understanding of the Concept of Greed," Levi said. "If you encounter something you can't overcome, use it to break through by force. You can only use it once."
The clone nodded and stepped into the gate.
The golden portal slowly closed.
The moment it shut, Levi's consciousness jolted violently.
It wasn't feedback from the clone—it was the Law of Devouring within him.
Creating the dimensional clone had split his power, causing the barely-contained force to erupt again.
Levi's expression changed as he immediately sat down cross-legged.
A black vortex spun wildly at his core. Cracks spread through the framework formed by the nine laws.
The Law of Devouring seemed to come alive, frantically consuming everything around it.
"Damn it." Levi gritted his teeth, mobilizing the Concept of Greed to suppress it.
It didn't work.
The essence of the Devouring Law was greed. Now it turned on him, gnawing at his concept, trying to replace it.
Black vein-like patterns surfaced across Levi's skin, writhing and spreading. With every inch they expanded, his consciousness was eroded further.
"Levi!"
Sensing something wrong, Wanda thrust her hands forward. Crimson Chaos Magic surged toward him.
The magic tore through Levi's law-domain, forcibly invading his consciousness.
Levi's eyes snapped open—his pupils pitch black.
He looked at Wanda, his gaze filled with pure devouring instinct.
Wanda's heart sank.
Forming a seal with her hands, she sent out a complex crimson sigil that imprinted itself on Levi's forehead.
His body froze.
The black patterns stopped spreading.
Loki's projection stepped forward, his face grave. "He's being devoured by the backlash of the Devouring Law. He can't suppress it."
"How do we save him?" Wanda asked.
"There is a way," Loki said. "I must return to the Time Variance Authority and draw upon the purification pool. But it will take time—maybe a day, maybe a year."
"Go!"
Loki nodded, his projection beginning to dissipate.
At that moment, Levi moved.
He raised his right hand. A black vortex condensed in his palm—then he slammed it into his own chest.
The vortex burrowed into his body, beginning to devour everything within.
Wanda stared in horror.
Even Loki froze. "He's… devouring himself?"
Levi's body was collapsing—but his consciousness grew clearer.
What he was devouring wasn't his body, but the out-of-control Devouring Law itself.
Using devouring… to devour devouring.
A paradox. A closed loop.
He was gambling.
The black vortex began to contract, collapse, and self-destruct.
Levi's body continued to break apart, but his consciousness clung tightly to the core strand of the Concept of Greed.
Before the Devouring Law fully collapsed, he intended to redefine it.
Time seemed to stand still.
Wanda and Loki held their breath as Levi's body disintegrated—then gradually reformed.
At last, the black vortex vanished completely.
Levi's body solidified again, though his aura was much weaker.
He opened his eyes. His pupils had returned to normal.
"I won," he said softly, before collapsing to the ground.
Wanda rushed over and caught him.
Levi's face was pale, but his gaze was clear.
"The Devouring Law… has been redefined," he said. "Now, it only devours what I allow it to."
Loki's projection let out a breath of relief.
"Madman," he muttered. "No one has ever done something like that."
"They have now," Levi said with a faint smile.
He looked at Wanda. "Thank you."
Wanda shook her head, her eyes slightly red. "Don't ever do something like that again."
Levi nodded, then turned to Loki. "What about the clone?"
"No updates yet, but it should have arrived."
Levi closed his eyes, sensing that faint connection.
The clone was still alive—its condition stable.
"He's fine," Levi said. "Now… it's up to him."
