Storm walked over to the table and shook Leyocan's hand.
"Was that any way to greet an old friend? With drawn swords?" Asked Storm.
"Forgive us, Storm. Things have been pretty dangerous since The Order showed up. It has made our people paranoid. It's not entirely their fault however. Most 'old friends' notify each other when they plan to visit."
Storm frowned.
"Didn't Celestial message you to expect my arrival? She said that she would?" Asked Storm.
"Ahhh, that explains it! I've been to busy of late and some of my letters are still unread on my desk! Forgive me!"
Leyocan got a mournful look on his face.
"I'm sorry I couldn't attend your son's Hatching Celebration , the notice was just too short! You have my congratulations though and please pass it on to Aurora as well!" Said Leyocan.
Storm nodded his head in thanks.
Leyocan looked past Storm at Augustus.
"Good to see you to Augustus!" Exclaimed Leyocan.
The elf nodded his head.
"You two know each other?" Asked Storm.
"We met up the day before I left your city after the siege and chatted for a bit. I invited him to a few card games, but he declined." Explained Leyocan.
He looked at Storm curiously.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see you, but the timing isn't really ideal! I'm in the middle of some delicate, time sensitive work at the moment. "Said Leyocan.
"Celestial had some concerns. I was hoping to address them, as well as get some information. " Explained Storm.
"Why not just send a letter then?" Asked Leyocan.
"You mean apart from the fact that you don't read your letters?" Asked Storm.
Leyocan averted his eyes.
"Good point! Very well, state your concerns and I'll attempt to address them!"
Storm eyed the numerous Nogitsune around him.
"Perhaps it would be best if we talked privately?" Suggested Storm.
Leyocan eyed Storm suspiciously before turning to one of the Nogitsune.
Go take a break!
Well continue this later!" Said Leyocan.
The Nogitsune all bowed before leaving the room and closing the hidden door.
Once they were alone, Storm addressed the reason for him making the trip, as well as Celestial's concerns about his actions.
Leyocan gripped the edge of the table as Storm talked.
"This is why she sent you here?! A reprimanded for an imaginary motivation?!You can tell her that I am not a cub to be lectured! I've been leading my clan for at least 3 centuries now and I know what I am doing!" Exclaimed Leyocan.
"So you haven't just been killing and torturing people in revenge for the Kitsune village ?" Asked Storm.
Leyocan rolled his eyes.
"This is just like her to believe that the world revolves around her!! I admit that it may have been the spark that set off the events! But it's long since stopped being just about petty vengeance!" Explained Leyocan.
"Then explain it to us?! Help me understand so that I can lay her concerns to rest!?" Said Storm.
"I've been working to eradicating The Order from within! Apart from that nothing important at all!" Said Leyocan in a biting tone.
"You have information about The Order? My people have been trying to get information without success for weeks!!" Exclaimed Storm.
"I admit... they're a tricky foe to track. But even they need supplies and gold in order to function. Explained Leyocan.
"So... those killings you've been doing...?" Asked Storm.
"Backers and doners of The Order. I've been following the paper trail, trying to locate where the supplies are headed." Explained Leyocan.
"Did you have to kill them so brutally afterwards though?" Asked Storm.
"I'm sending a message. The same kind of message that the Slayer sent at the Kitsune Village. That siding with The Order will carry dire consequences!" Exclaimed Leyocan.
"I'm also trying to draw out their leaders with this and those efforts have finally born fruit!" Added Leyocan.
"You found something?" Asked Augustus.
"My actions have forced The Order to send someone to try and stop the killings. A former Inquisitor of the church before he joined The Order.
He's secured the remaining supplies in a warehouse while he attempts to find the culprit of these attacks. We were planning a stike on the warehouse when you came in." Finished Leyocan.
"Are you sure your information is accurate?" Asked Storm.
"I'm not a novice, Storm. The information is genuine. It came from a priest from the same church as the inquisitor." Explained Leyocan.
"Why would this priest betray his own clergyman?! This doesn't add up!?" Exclaimed Storm
"I believe you met this priest the last time you were here? He was the one that hid Elowen during the attack on Elysium?
He always was sympathetic to the Kitsune, and my information tells me that he and the inquisitor didn't get along.
Furthermore, not all of humankind is in favor of the Slayer's methods. Some groups have formed up that are attempting to undermine The Order as best they can. This priest in one such member of this group." Explained Leyocan
"Where is this warehouse exactly?" Asked Storm.
Leyocan pointed to a building in the center of the city behind the walls.
"Right in the center of a heavily defended city? It would be easy to trap you if things went bad, Leyocan. " said Storm.
"Did you really think this would be easy, Storm? We have the element of surprise though, they are not expecting anyone to know about it and is lightly guarded. " said Leyocan.
We go there, burn the supplies, and if possible, capture the inquisitor. His information will be invaluable for finding out The Order's inner workings. " Explained Leyocan.
"How do you even intend to enter the city with the gates secured and your secret entrance destroyed?" Asked Storm.
Leyocan laughed at Storm's inquiry.
"Did you really think that was our only way to get into the city? There are several scattered around. Including one that would drop us off reasonable close to our target. "
Explained Leyocan.
"All right! We'll help you complete the mission. " said Storm.
"That won't be necessary, Storm. Me and my people are more than capable of doing this on our own." Said Leyocan.
"I insist. We traveled all this way, so we might as well help out." Replied Storm.
Leyocan thought about it for a moment before nodding his head and calling in his fellow Nogitsune to finish the planning.
