Chapter 354 - Chapter 354: Your Protest Is Invalid, and You Have No Right to Protest

The next day.

Jinx was awakened by movement coming from the living room.

She opened her eyes in a daze, her confused gaze sweeping around her surroundings.

Then she discovered Luke and the others, who had woken up early, already busy with their own things. Washing up, morning training, lying on the couch and staring blankly.

No one came over to talk to her at all. She was left hanging there with absolutely no presence.

This strange atmosphere made Jinx feel an inexplicable sense of frustration.

After sleeping in the same posture for an entire night, her whole body was a little sore now. But compared to that, her current awkward situation made her even more depressed.

Just like that, time passed minute by minute.

Several people passed by her along the way, yet they ignored her as if she were air.

Jinx was so bored she was almost going insane.

Finally, she could not hold it in anymore. She looked toward Lux, who was lying on the couch not far away with her legs crossed, reading a Piltover novel. "Hey, blondie, are you people planning to keep me tied up forever?"

Hearing this, Lux lowered the novel in her hands and glanced back at her. "First of all, my name is Lux. Second, for now, that is the plan."

After saying that, she raised the novel again and stopped paying attention to Jinx, continuing to read in a leisurely manner.

Jinx said pitifully, "My body is so sore right now. My arms feel like they're about to break. It hurts so bad, I'm dying…"

Without even turning her head, Lux said, "May I ask how this isn't your own fault? This is the punishment you deserve."

Seeing that Lux was not buying it, Jinx put away her pitiful expression, gritted her teeth, and raised her voice a little. "I need to pee!"

Seeing Lux still ignore her, she raised her voice even more, emphasizing each word. "I need to pee!"

As the sound of a page turning rang out, Jinx took a deep breath and threatened, "Ignore me again, and I'll pee right here for you to see!"

"Fine, fine."

After those words fell, Lux sighed helplessly and put down the book in her hands. "I really can't do anything with you."

Very unwillingly, she got up from the couch, then walked toward Jinx and untied the rope binding her to the pillar.

Then she grabbed Jinx from the floor, pulled her up, and untied the ropes on her hands and feet as well. "Come on. The bathroom is this way."

Finally freed, Jinx immediately moved her body around, even making a few cracking sounds from her bones. She let out a long breath, feeling that she was finally a bit more comfortable.

Then she glanced at Lux beside her with ill intent.

This blondie looked easy to bully. If she wanted to escape, it seemed she could find a way through her.

"I'm warning you, don't even think about anything bad. Otherwise, the consequences will be very serious."

Lux walked in front and led the way, looking completely unguarded.

"I really just need to pee…"

Jinx acted weak while following her, and at the same time, began observing her surroundings.

Once she found the right opportunity, she would make her move.

They were about to reach the bathroom, and there just happened to be no one around.

"The bathroom is right ahead. Go in. I'll wait outside."

Lux spoke as she prepared to turn around.

But at that moment, Jinx's mind stirred.

Now.

Without hesitation, she was like a little cat that had been lying in ambush for a long time, launching a sneak attack at Lux from behind.

This time, she was going to settle last night's grudge too.

However, Jinx's confident punch was casually blocked by Lux as she turned around.

The air seemed to freeze at that moment.

Jinx stared blankly at her own fist being held by Lux.

"Heh heh."

A confident sneer appeared on Lux's little face. "You underestimated me a little too much. I saw through your little tricks long ago."

"What?!"

Jinx's heart sank, and she realized that this little blonde in front of her might not be as simple as she had imagined.

But things had already reached this point. She could only go all the way.

She gritted her teeth and immediately launched a fierce assault.

"To deal with a brat like you, one hand is enough."

Lux now fully displayed the bearing of an expert, her tone calm and casual. And sure enough, she used only one hand to deal with Jinx.

Although Miss Crownguard was a mage, she was not weak in physical combat.

However, she soon discovered that even though Jinx looked thin and small, her attack power was not weak at all.

It did not take long before Lux felt pressure.

But because of her pride, she stubbornly held on with one hand, though her steps kept retreating.

Soon, she noticed that Jinx was getting a little breathless, and her attacks were softening. Lux immediately said smugly, "I'm sure you've already realized it. I still haven't used my full strength, so give, mmph!"

Before she could finish showing off, the back of her head hit the wall-mounted lamp behind her, producing a crisp clang.

At once, her other hand reached up in pain to clutch the back of her head. Her little face changed color from the pain.

One could say the face-slapping had come rather quickly.

"Now's my chance!"

Jinx's eyes suddenly lit up. She locked onto the nearby window and bolted toward it.

Although she could have taken the opportunity to land another blow on the blonde, Jinx always remembered her current situation.

Getting out was the most important thing.

"Don't even think about running!"

Seeing that Jinx wanted to escape, Lux could not care about anything else. She hurriedly reached out, grabbed Jinx's braid, and pulled her back.

The window was right in front of her eyes, but Jinx was forcefully stopped in place. Having her hair yanked hurt quite a lot, and at the same time, she felt a force suddenly pull her backward, making her body fall back.

And the direction she fell was precisely toward Lux, who had just lifted her head.

Lux only saw the back of a head crashing toward her.

The next second, with a clang, the two collided. Each held her own head and sucked in a cold breath from the pain.

When they looked up again, they saw Luke standing there with a subtle expression on his face. "What are you two… doing?"

Lux pointed at Jinx irritably. "This girl tried to run, and she even attacked me while I wasn't ready!"

"Heh heh. I wonder who it was just now who bragged that one hand was enough to deal with me."

Jinx looked at Lux with a face full of contempt.

Lux glanced at her and emphasized, "I didn't even use half my power. Otherwise, I would have taken care of you long ago."

That was true, but it was also true that she had underestimated her opponent too much.

Jinx mocked disdainfully, "If everyone in the world was like you and only knew how to talk big, the sky would be full of flying cows."

Lux immediately fired back, "If everyone in the world was as stupid and overconfident as you, the world would have fallen apart long ago."

"I wouldn't slam my head into a wall lamp."

"I wouldn't sneak into someone else's house in the middle of the night to steal things and get caught red-handed."

"If I were you, I'd already be drowning in shame."

"If I were you, I'd already be digging a hole to crawl into."

The two clashed sharply against each other. Judging from the situation, Lux had a certain advantage in this exchange.

After all, this was her home turf.

But Jinx was also quite unwilling to accept defeat. Their gazes clashed in midair, sparks practically crackling between them.

"If I were you two, I'd behave yourselves and go do what you're supposed to do. Sometimes, not disturbing other people is also a virtue."

Luke spoke in a faint voice.

He had to admit, these two were both quite energetic this early in the morning.

Seeing that Jinx was still somewhat unconvinced, he took out the divine artifact, the frying pan.

After seeing the frying pan, Jinx's expression changed as expected. Even deep in her eyes, a bit of instinctive wariness appeared.

She had truly been traumatized by that damned broken pan.

The final result was that Jinx obediently went to the bathroom, then returned to her restrained state with her hands and feet tied.

Then she silently endured Lux's arrogant, smug gaze.

Once again, she was ignored by everyone.

Until Caitlyn arrived, and she was noticed again.

As soon as Caitlyn came in, she saw Jinx tied up. First, she froze slightly. Then, after observing carefully, she said thoughtfully, "Why do I feel like she looks a little like the blue-haired girl we chased last time?"

Lux replied, "You can drop the 'feel like.' She is."

"?"

Caitlyn made a confused sound and came closer to observe Jinx's defiant face. She still had not fully grasped the situation. "So what exactly happened?"

How had the person they failed to catch last time suddenly appeared here out of nowhere?

Her impression of this blue-haired girl was still quite deep. Although she had not seen her face clearly last time, when Jinx appeared in front of her this time, she still felt at first glance that it was her.

"A stupid thief snuck in during the middle of the night to steal things and got caught red-handed."

Lux said with a smile.

The sarcastic tone instantly maxed out the anger in Jinx's heart, but she had nowhere to vent it, so her expression grew even more indignant.

Caitlyn roughly understood and immediately looked at Jinx with some admiration. "You really are something."

She had not expected that someone would actually dare sneak into the prince's residence.

That was simply too brave.

The more Jinx thought about it, the angrier she became. She said stubbornly, "All this proves is that I was careless. If I'd prepared a little more, I definitely wouldn't be like this now."

"Even now, you still think you were just careless?"

Lux looked toward Jinx and laughed. "Then let me tell you one bloody truth. Actually, Valor had already discovered you from the moment you planned to sneak in."

As soon as those words fell, an image of an Azurite Eagle flashed through Jinx's mind, and her heart suddenly sank.

Oh no. She really had not included that eagle in her plan.

Immediately afterward, she realized something and could not help asking, "So you already discovered me? Then why didn't you just come catch me directly?"

"That's why I said you're stupid. If you hadn't actually committed the crime, how could we catch you red-handed?"

Lux clicked her tongue as she looked at her.

Of course, in truth, she was only taking the chance to mock this blue-haired girl who did not know the height of the sky or the depth of the earth.

Valor had discovered the suspicious Jinx long ago, but she had only learned about that later.

When Jinx had sneaked in, Lux had been sleeping soundly in the next room.

"Damn it… How could this happen…"

Jinx had never expected that she had actually walked into the trap herself.

In other words, no matter how thoroughly she had prepared, she had already been discovered from the very beginning.

This dealt a small blow to Jinx's heart.

Just then, she suddenly smelled something fragrant. Her stomach immediately felt hungry, and her attention was scattered.

The blow was instantly forgotten completely.

"Breakfast is about ready."

Luke's voice came from the kitchen.

As soon as she heard that, Lux immediately threw the blue-haired girl to the back of her mind and said happily, "Time to eat."

When it came to eating, Miss Crownguard was always the most enthusiastic one.

Jinx was once again left out in the cold, all alone and tied to the pillar in the living room. Listening to the sounds of people eating coming from the dining room, her stomach could not help rumbling.

So hungry.

She lowered her head, feeling so hungry that she was starting to have no strength.

Time passed minute by minute. After everyone finished breakfast, they returned to the living room.

Jinx discovered that Luke was walking over with a breakfast that looked rather refined. Even she could not help feeling a bit of anticipation.

"Want to eat?"

Luke showed Jinx the delicate breakfast and asked.

Her nose was filled with the aroma, and Jinx was almost drooling. She honestly nodded. "I want to eat."

At that moment, a smile appeared on Luke's face. "Apologize, and you can eat this breakfast."

The moment she heard this, Jinx immediately turned her face away and said stubbornly, "I already admitted I was wrong last night."

"Admitting you were wrong is admitting you were wrong. Apologizing is apologizing. You not only threw something at us, you also snuck in here in the middle of the night. After doing all that, saying sorry shouldn't be hard, right?"

Luke said.

Jinx still kept her face turned away and said nothing.

It was not that it was hard. It was just "sorry." But in this situation, Jinx found it difficult to say.

She was the great Jinx. What kind of thing was it to lower her head and apologize just for a breakfast?

If this spread later, how was she supposed to keep making a name for herself in the undercity?

Lux spoke at this moment. "Don't make things hard for her. After all, she's just a brat. If she actually opened her mouth and apologized, she'd lose so much face."

Jinx glared at her unhappily. "I'm not a brat!"

"If you can't learn how to apologize, you'll always be one."

Lux chuckled. "Only immature children stay stubborn forever over a little bit of pride."

"There's a saying, suffering just to save face. That's you right now."

Those two simple sentences directly made Jinx's anger rise sharply.

"All right. If you won't apologize, forget it. Making up for it through action works too."

Luke did not insist that Jinx apologize. He handed the breakfast to Lux beside him. "You should be glad we Demacians don't like abusing children, so this breakfast is still yours."

Lux instinctively took the breakfast and chimed in, "That's right, brat. You should be deeply grateful for our generosity."

Jinx bared her teeth at her.

Luke said, "Since Miss Crownguard is so kind-hearted, the task of feeding her breakfast will be left to you."

As soon as those words fell, Lux froze.

"I refuse!"

In the next second, both of them rejected it in unison, their expressions full of resistance.

"Your protest is invalid, and you have no right to protest. Just obediently accept being fed."

Luke first declared Miss Crownguard's protest invalid, then looked at Jinx.

"I don't want to feed her!"

Lux said, somewhat dissatisfied. "Can't you feed her?"

"It wasn't easy for me to work so hard and prepare breakfast. In this whole house, you're the idlest one, and you eat the most. Now I can't even give you a little task?"

Luke glanced at the little blonde.

This single move directly left Lux speechless. Her head lowered further and further, and it seemed she was preparing to accept this mission.

Jinx, however, thought of something and said, "Untie me and let me eat by myself!"

When Lux heard this, she also raised her head. "Yeah, let her eat by herself!"

Luke glanced at the two of them. "If I do that, wouldn't there be no way to punish her?"

"Just tie her back up after she finishes eating."

Lux immediately said.

"What meaning would that have? I might as well just untie her and let her go back."

Luke did not agree with them. He looked toward Annie. "Annie, your task is to supervise them. Once the mission is complete, I'll reward you with cake."

As soon as Annie heard this, she immediately put on a serious little face. "I guarantee I'll complete the mission!"

After giving these instructions, Luke leisurely went upstairs, planning to bask in the sun on the rooftop for a while.

Lux and Jinx were left behind, staring at each other. Beside them, Annie was supervising them with a very serious expression.

"What are you looking at? Hurry up and feed me!"

Jinx bared her teeth at Lux and urged her.

"Looks like you still don't understand your situation well enough."

Lux directly picked up a small breakfast roll and stuffed it into Jinx's mouth.

Jinx's mouth was blocked on the spot. Yet before she could finish one, the second had already been stuffed in.

Her eyes widened slightly. Very soon, a third came.

Then a fourth.

In just a few seconds, her small mouth had been stuffed full with four breakfast rolls, and both sides of her cheeks puffed up. She could only make muffled sounds.

Lux experienced the fun of it, but also stopped at the right time. She snorted coldly. "Do you know you were wrong now?"

Jinx responded with an obviously unconvinced look, then sped up her chewing and finally swallowed everything into her stomach.

She had to admit, it was kind of good.

Only now did she savor the taste and realize that it was unexpectedly delicious.

After four breakfast rolls entered her stomach, she felt like the more she ate, the hungrier she got.

"I want soup!"

She shouted loudly, and instead started ordering Lux around. Earlier, the smell of the soup had been tempting her terribly.

"I just won't give you any!"

Lux instead picked up an egg roll and fed it over, but unexpectedly, Jinx thrust her head forward and opened her mouth to bite Lux's hand.

Fortunately, Lux reacted in time and dodged.

"You still want to bite me? Have you lost your mind?"

Lux raised an eyebrow. First, she put down the breakfast plate in her hands. Then she reached out without any politeness, pinched both sides of Jinx's face, and began kneading it up and down.

"Who told you not to let me drink the soup?"

Jinx was still extremely unconvinced, glaring at Lux with her big eyes.

Just one breakfast was enough for the two of them to cause a complete commotion.

But no matter how much trouble they made, Annie stood beside them the entire time with a serious little face, carrying out her "supervision" mission with utmost dedication.
