At first, Raiden Shogun thought she had obtained something incredible, but now it felt like a complete waste.
You could say it was useful, but also not. Once used, she would be eliminated from the game. If not used, it would just sit there. Still, it had one advantage—no one would dare provoke her anymore.
After thinking for a while, she sighed. "Sara, you draw."
Kujou Sara stepped forward obediently. With only two points, she didn't bother making any wishes and simply tossed the coins in.
A large package dropped out.
"…Candy?"
She stared at it, puzzled.
"It's a candy gift pack," Valerius said casually. "Great for giving to kids during the holidays."
"…What about the effect?"
"There is one. Eat a piece, and no matter how sad you are, your mood will instantly improve."
"…Any side effects?"
"None. Two-point items are genuine products."
Sara nodded in understanding. One-point items were knockoffs with side effects, while two-point items were the real deal.
She held the bag, wondering what to do with it, when Raiden Shogun suddenly sighed behind her.
"…General, would you like to try one?"
"Ahem. Someone has to test it."
Despite her words, Raiden moved quickly, popping a candy into her mouth.
"Wow… so sweet."
The rich fruity and milky flavor filled her mouth instantly. Her mood brightened on the spot, and all her previous frustration vanished.
"I want to try one too," Yae Miko said, reaching out.
Smack.
Raiden slapped her hand away. "This belongs to Sara."
Then she sealed the bag and tucked it behind her back.
"You just ate one yourself," Yae Miko protested.
"That's different."
Ningguang watched quietly, eyes narrowing slightly. So the Raiden Shogun liked sweets. That was useful information.
Valerius, on the side, couldn't help but smile. If she wanted candy, she could've just said so—Sara would've handed over the whole bag without hesitation.
"Next," he said.
After a brief exchange of looks, Silver Wolf stepped forward and tossed in all six of her points at once.
A burst of golden light exploded from the machine.
"I hit the jackpot!"
The light faded, leaving behind a glowing sphere.
"What is this?"
"A Game Data Template," Valerius replied.
"…Explain."
"Once used, you'll gain a game-style stat panel. You start at level one, and by completing tasks or defeating enemies, you gain experience and level up."
Silver Wolf's eyes lit up. "So reality becomes a game, and I'm the only player?"
"Exactly."
She didn't hesitate and used it immediately.
A panel appeared before her:
[Silver Wolf: LV1]
HP: 400
MP: 90
Attack: 100
Defense: 100
Speed: 73
"So this is my stat panel…"
Then she noticed something else. "There are equipment slots too."
She immediately turned to Raiden. "Let me borrow your spear."
"Sure."
Raiden, still in a good mood, handed it over.
"Equip."
Her attack stat instantly jumped to 1000.
"I see how this works now."
Returning the spear, she moved to Kafka. "Your guns."
After equipping them, her attack rose to 300.
"…Trash."
She handed them back, then grabbed Blade's sword. This time, her attack reached 500.
"Not bad. Better than Kafka's."
A hand pressed down on her head.
"Looks like you've been getting bold lately," Kafka said with a smile.
"Hehe…"
But internally, Silver Wolf was thrilled. As long as she leveled up and obtained stronger equipment, her power would grow exponentially. At some point, she might even surpass the generals.
"I'll go next," Ningguang said, stepping forward.
She inserted her points, and a scroll dropped out—no special effects.
"Seems like my luck isn't great."
"Not necessarily," Valerius said. "This one suits you."
"Oh?"
"Skill: Heavenly Toss. Spend Mora to deal damage equal to the amount spent."
Ningguang paused, then smiled. "So… I can attack by throwing money?"
"Exactly."
Her smile deepened. This was indeed perfect for her.
Nearby, Asta looked absolutely devastated. "That should've been mine…"
"If I had that, I'd show you what real financial power looks like."
Arlan nodded seriously. "Miss Asta would be terrifying."
