The cars sped along the road, turning the chase into something straight out of a spy movie.
At that moment, Ningguang slowly opened her eyes.
"Be prepared. There's a good chance they're about to fight."
"What about us? What should we do?"
Beidou cracked her knuckles, eager for action.
Last time, two Servants had clashed and she'd been too far away to join.
This time, however, they were nearby.
Maybe she'd finally get her turn.
"I'll go," Ningguang said calmly. "You stay hidden."
"You?"
Beidou looked Ningguang up and down.
With those slender arms and legs, you're going to fight?
Ningguang rolled her eyes.
"If not me, then who? I'm the main force right now, remember?"
"…Fair enough."
Beidou glanced at the time.
"I should get ready for my night shift."
"You're still going to work?"
Ningguang stared at her in disbelief.
"Heh. I actually like this job. Don't worry. If anything happens, I'll use a Command Seal to summon you."
"Suit yourself."
Ningguang's body dissolved into spirit particles and vanished.
Since Beidou refused to listen, Ningguang didn't bother arguing.
I warned you. If you get eliminated while you're working, don't blame me for teaming up with someone else.
In a remote suburban area, Jean and Yanagi paid their taxi fare and stopped in an open field.
"Let's see who's been following us."
Not long ago, both of them had noticed the suspicious car trailing them.
Since there were two of them, neither felt the slightest bit afraid.
They had deliberately diverted to the outskirts.
Surely they couldn't lose a two-on-one.
A short while later, two small figures appeared in the distance.
"That's… Yanqing."
Having already bought information from Valerius, they immediately recognized him.
As for the girl beside him, it could only be Yunli.
"Be careful. Yunli is a Berserker."
The intel had revealed that Yanqing was Berserker's Master.
That meant Yunli was obviously Berserker.
"Doesn't seem like it."
Jean looked at Yunli in disbelief.
No matter how she looked at her, Yunli seemed like nothing more than a teenage girl.
On the other side, Yanqing and Yunli knew they'd been discovered.
They got out of the taxi and approached.
"Kids, are those really your sisters?"
The driver frowned.
The situation looked increasingly suspicious.
"Yes, uncle. You should head back now."
"Alright."
The driver nodded and turned the car around.
But the more he thought about it, the stranger it seemed.
Those kids looked like they were about to get into a fight.
He immediately dialed 110.
They were still children. He couldn't let them get hurt.
After the taxi left, the two groups faced one another.
"Well, well," Yunli said with a grin. "Two Masters?"
"Little Yanqing," Jean said, "you followed us all the way here. Planning to eliminate us?"
"Huh? You know my name?"
Yanqing blinked in surprise.
He hadn't recognized them, so how did they know him?
"You idiot," Yunli said. "Church intel."
"Oh."
Yanqing instantly understood.
"That makes sense."
"Then I'll leave it to you."
"Don't worry."
Yunli gave him a confident look and drew her weapons.
Two heavy meteor hammers hung from chains, with a pair of short blades at her waist.
"That… those weapons…"
Jean and Yanagi both stared.
The sheer size and weight of those iron balls were intimidating.
But wasn't Yunli supposed to be a Berserker?
Why did she seem perfectly rational?
"Here I come!"
Without giving them time to react, Yunli charged.
The meteor hammers whirled around her in a deadly blur.
"She's fast!"
Both women were shocked.
How was someone dragging two giant iron spheres moving this quickly?
Just as Yunli was about to reach them, a magic barrier suddenly sprang up and trapped her inside.
"It works on Servants!"
The discovery thrilled them.
They had prepared this trap specifically to test whether their magecraft could affect Heroic Spirits.
Apparently, it could.
"Tch."
Yunli clicked her tongue.
She hated being restrained.
With a burst of magical energy, she swung one meteor hammer.
The barrier that had trapped her shattered instantly.
"Well. So there are limits."
Jean and Yanagi leapt backward.
They weren't sure whether their magecraft was too weak or Yunli was simply too strong.
Especially Jean.
She had reached the Pride rank among magi, yet Yunli had broken free in a single strike.
It seemed that fighting Servants directly would require Color or even Grand-level ability.
In the live chat:
[Jing Yuan: They're fighting again.]
[Fu Xuan: Trying to stop Yunli with magecraft? What were they thinking?]
[Serval: Their magecraft shouldn't be enough to deal with Yunli. Are they still not summoning their Servants?]
[Valerius: Why do you all underestimate magecraft so much?]
[Seele: You're saying their magecraft can actually fight Yunli?]
It didn't look like it.
The barrier had been destroyed instantly.
[Valerius: Magecraft is very powerful. But Yunli is a Heroic Spirit, not a standard Servant. Her output is on a completely different level.]
Valerius could see the situation clearly.
Both Jean and Yanagi were exceptionally talented among Masters.
If Yunli were a normal Servant, they might have been able to restrain her.
But Heroic Spirits were another matter entirely.
Back on the battlefield, Yunli had broken free and was relentlessly pursuing them.
Magic bullets and spells flew at her, but they were completely useless.
A simple release of magical energy was enough to neutralize everything before it touched her.
"We can't handle her. Summon your Servant."
Jean narrowly avoided another attack.
If she waited any longer, she wouldn't survive ten seconds.
A crimson light flashed.
One Command Seal disappeared, and Barbara materialized at her side.
Clang!
The moment she appeared, Barbara swung her sword and knocked away the meteor hammer aimed at Jean.
She stood protectively in front of her sister.
In the live chat:
[Lisa: Pfft—look at this scene.]
[Kaeya: Who would have thought Jean would one day be protected by Barbara?]
[Klee: Go, Barbara!]
Klee was thrilled.
Too bad she wasn't the one standing in front of Jean.
If she were, perhaps Master Jean would reduce her solitary confinement time.
With Jean's Servant summoned, Yanagi immediately activated one of her own Command Seals.
They had agreed to fight together.
Now that both sides had Servants, she couldn't delay any longer.
Another crimson light flashed.
Hoshimi Miyabi appeared.
"Yanagi, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, Chief."
The moment Miyabi arrived, she sensed something was wrong.
Barbara was here too.
Without hesitation, she pulled Yanagi behind her.
"Be careful. That girl is very dangerous."
Barbara's ability to summon troops made her especially threatening.
Miyabi had no intention of letting Yanagi be caught off guard.
"It's you!"
Barbara immediately recognized Miyabi.
The moment enemies met, old grudges reignited.
"Royal Guards, heed my summons!"
Without hesitation, Barbara planted her banner into the ground.
One hundred armored knights appeared once more.
"Protect my sister!"
At her command, the knights formed a defensive ring around Jean.
Then Barbara raised her sword and charged at Miyabi.
"Damn Assassin! Prepare to die!"
Yunli: "???"
Miyabi: "!!!"
Jean: "Barbara?!"
Yanqing stood there in stunned silence.
The enemy had started fighting among themselves.
