Chapter 89 - After the Storm — Claiming the Legacy of Two Evil Teams

The clash of gods finally came to an end when Aiden Flint successfully captured Groudon and Kyogre.

As the crisis was resolved and the weather returned to normal, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Hoenn… had been saved.

After Aiden recalled the three legendary Pokémon, the members of the Pokémon League approached him.

Drake laughed heartily.

"Thanks to you, Aiden, Hoenn was spared from the devastation of a legendary war!"

Wallace bowed deeply.

"On behalf of the Hoenn Pokémon League, thank you."

Aiden quickly waved his hands.

"Hey, don't raise me onto some pedestal. I had selfish motives too—I wanted to capture those two legends. That's why I rushed here in the first place."

"And honestly, if Champion Lance hadn't infiltrated Team Magma, the two teams wouldn't have been forced into conflict so early. He bought us precious time."

Lance scratched his head awkwardly.

"I didn't really do that much."

But Wallace still thanked him sincerely.

Norman laughed.

"Don't sell yourself short. You stopped Groudon and Kyogre from destroying Hoenn. That alone is enough for the entire region to thank you. From today onward, Aiden Flint's name will echo across Hoenn."

Because of the legendary battle, Roxanne, Flannery, and Winona all looked at Aiden with new admiration.

Winona in particular—who already had a favorable impression of him—now looked at him as though he were a hero who had saved the world.

May, too, couldn't help staring at him with shining eyes.

After all… how many girls could resist a man who commanded legendary Pokémon and saved an entire region?

Soon after, the Hoenn Pokémon League held a global broadcast.

Champion Wallace announced that Team Magma and Team Aqua had attempted to revive Groudon and Kyogre, nearly plunging Hoenn into disaster.

With the combined efforts of Champions Wallace and Steven, the Four Elite Four members Drake, Phoebe, Glacia, and Sidney, eight Gym Leaders including Norman, Winona, and Wallace's own mentor Juan, as well as Kanto Champion Lance…

The crisis was resolved.

And the one who contributed the most was a young man known only as Aiden Flint—the Legendary Tamer.

Because Aiden refused to appear on camera, the public knew only his name, not his face.

Across Hoenn, people talked endlessly about this mysterious Pokémon god.

Team Magma and Team Aqua were effectively wiped out.

Maxie and Archie were captured.

Tabitha, Courtney, Shelly, and Matt were arrested.

Only Shelly—and Courtney—managed to escape.

And even that…

Was because Aiden allowed it.

After everyone left, Aiden used Teleport and appeared in a hidden location.

Shelly was waiting for him there.

Her expression changed when she saw him, but she quickly regained her composure.

"So it really was you who let me escape. Fine—what do you want from me?"

Aiden smiled.

"I like dealing with smart people. Now that Team Magma and Team Aqua are gone, where do you plan to go?"

Shelly hesitated.

"…I don't know."

"Then join me."

"I won't make you fight the Pokémon League. I won't make you betray anything either. I only need you to help me gather information about legendary Pokémon."

Shelly fell silent.

With her faith shattered and her god now belonging to Aiden, she had nowhere to go anyway.

And beneath the surface, Aiden's psychic power was gently nudging her resolve.

Finally, she nodded.

"Tell me what to do."

"Go find J. She'll give you your orders. And bring me everything Team Magma and Team Aqua left behind."

Shelly took a deep breath.

"…Understood, Boss."

And so, Sky fall's second commander was born.

The legacy of two evil teams… was now in Aiden Flint's hands.
