The moment Mew was revealed, Mewtwo became visibly agitated.
As Mew's clone, how could it possibly fail to recognize that familiar aura?
The instant this wandering trickster appeared, Mewtwo had already sensed its presence.
And now, Mew had the nerve to stroll toward it while hiding among a group of Kangaskhan.
"Hmph."
"Do you really think I wouldn't notice you just because you hid among them?"
With a cold snort, several Shadow Balls formed above Mewtwo's palm.
It immediately hurled them toward the Kangaskhan herd.
Seeing this, Aiden quickly shouted,
"Mewtwo, stop!"
At the same time, Mew realized that something was wrong.
It instantly abandoned its Kangaskhan disguise and revealed its true form.
A blue barrier appeared around it, blocking Mewtwo's attacks.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, the frightened Kangaskhan fled the area.
Soon, only Mewtwo and Mew remained, staring each other down.
"Mewtwo, haven't you already accepted that cloned life is still life?"
"Why are you attacking Mew for no reason?"
Hearing Aiden's words, Mewtwo formed an even larger Shadow Ball in its hand.
"Our last battle never reached a conclusion."
"I may no longer care about being a clone, but I still intend to prove one thing."
"I, Mewtwo, can surpass Mew."
"I am stronger than you!"
As soon as it finished speaking, Mewtwo hurled the Shadow Ball directly at Mew.
Mew tilted its head curiously.
It even turned toward Aiden and gave him a mischievous smile.
In the next instant, a blue barrier enveloped its body as it charged straight at Mewtwo.
The battle between Mewtwo and Mew erupted once again.
...
As the fight began, a purple barrier appeared around Mewtwo as well.
The primary Legendary and Mythical Pokémon collided head-on.
Their two barriers crashed against one another, sending violent shock waves through the surrounding forest.
Seeing the destruction spreading outward, Aiden turned to the two Deoxys.
"Create a Psychic Terrain covering a radius of three kilometers."
"Stabilize the surrounding psychic energy and prevent the battle's power from spreading any farther."
The two Deoxys immediately obeyed.
Their combined psychic power sealed off the surrounding area.
Now, the battle between Mew and Mewtwo could only affect the three-kilometer zone around them.
As Mewtwo's Trainer, Aiden knew how badly it wanted to defeat Mew.
So he decided to give it that opportunity.
"Mewtwo."
"Show it your true power."
"Mega Evolve!"
Purple light flashed through Aiden's eyes.
The Key Stone in his hand erupted with rainbow-colored radiance.
At the same time, the Mega Stone carried by Mewtwo responded.
The two lights resonated with one another.
Mewtwo was soon enveloped by multicolored energy.
Its body began to transform.
When the light faded, an entirely different form appeared.
Mega Mewtwo Y.
The battle had originally been evenly matched.
However, once Mewtwo Mega Evolved, that balance immediately disappeared.
Mew was undeniably powerful.
It was hailed as the progenitor of Pokémon life and shared a mysterious connection with the Tree of Beginning.
The original genetic material of all ordinary Pokémon could be traced back to it.
Even so, it was no match for a Mega-Evolved Mewtwo.
Furthermore, Aiden's psychic power could strengthen his Psychic-type Pokémon, much like Sabrina's.
Combined with the enhancement of the Psychic Plate inside the system space, Mewtwo's strength had already risen far beyond its former limits.
Ding! Mewtwo's current attributes are as follows:
Pokémon: Mega Mewtwo Y
Divine Authority: None
Level: 110 (100)
Ability: Insomnia
Type: Psychic
Potential: Rainbow
Bond Evolution: Locked
Mega Evolution: Mega Mewtwo Y
Moves: Disable, Teleport, Psyshock, Psychic, Aura Sphere, Psystrike, Confusion, Recover, Future Sight...
Affinity: 255
Profile: A Mewtwo that has spent years searching for the meaning of life. It enjoys observing human society and continues to learn from it. However, whenever it encounters Mew, it still feels an irresistible urge to prove which of them is stronger.
Likes: Freedom, companions, and surpassing Mew.
Not bad.
After spending time beside the Psychic Plate, Mewtwo had finally surpassed its former self.
Its level had risen from 99 to the natural maximum of 100.
With the additional enhancement provided by Mega Evolution, its strength had surged all the way to Level 110.
Aside from lacking Divine Authority, it had no reason to fear any other Legendary Pokémon.
"Mewtwo, use Aura Sphere!"
At Aiden's command, Mega Mewtwo Y's lips curled into a smile.
In truth, the moment Aiden had allowed it to fight Mew, Mewtwo's Affinity toward him had reached its maximum.
Now, with Mega Evolution added on top of that bond, its strength had completely surpassed Mew's.
Only now did the name Mewtwo truly feel deserved.
A blue sphere of aura shot forward with unstoppable momentum.
It slammed directly into Mew's barrier.
Boom!
The explosion caused cracks to spread across the blue shield.
Seeing this, Mewtwo grew even more excited.
At Aiden's command, several Shadow Balls formed and launched in quick succession.
The barrage shattered Mew's barrier completely.
Mew let out a soft cry.
Brilliant light gathered around its body.
As the genetic ancestor of all Pokémon, Mew could use moves from every type.
All eighteen of them.
The attack it released now was Solar Beam.
A massive pillar of sunlight surged toward Mewtwo.
Mewtwo charged directly into it.
The old Mewtwo might not have been capable of defeating Mew.
But after receiving the Psychic Plate's enhancement and entering its Mega Mewtwo Y form, there was no longer any doubt.
Mew could not defeat it.
Mewtwo forced its way through the Solar Beam and shattered the attack head-on.
The resulting shock wave struck Mew and sent it flying.
Several Shadow Balls followed close behind.
They exploded against Mew one after another.
Seeing this, Mew finally became angry.
It activated Transform.
Its body changed instantly—
Into the appearance of Arceus.
Its eyes glowed red as it unleashed Psychic.
Unfortunately for Mew, Mewtwo had no particular concept of Arceus.
Most Legendary Pokémon would become uneasy upon seeing the creator deity.
Even knowing that it was merely a transformation, they might still hesitate to attack.
Mewtwo, however, had eyes only for Mew.
It did not care what form Mew took.
Thus, Mewtwo unleashed an even more violent barrage.
Every attack struck Mew directly.
Under the overwhelming assault, Mew plummeted toward the ground.
