Gwen quickly turned toward Lucy.
Her hands came together in front of her as she lowered her head deeply.
"Thank you, Lucy."
Her voice trembled with gratitude.
She bowed even lower, making Lucy panic almost immediately.
"Gwen, stop it."
Lucy hurried over and gently grabbed both of Gwen's shoulders before helping her back onto her feet.
A helpless smile appeared on her face.
"We're friends, remember?"
She looked directly into Gwen's tearful eyes.
"When we were little...We always helped each other whenever times became difficult."
She smiled warmly.
"So now...It's my turn to help you. Like old times."
After saying those words, Lucy subconsciously turned toward Ezra.
She had already opened her mouth to ask him something.
Before she could speak…
"I know what you're about to say, Lucy."
Ezra spoke first.
His usual calm voice interrupted her thoughts.
Lucy blinked.
He looked at her with his dull black eyes.
"We'll follow them."
His answer was as simple as always.
