The golden Light Slash tore through the ancient tree Ezra had been standing on only moments earlier.
SHRAAAK!
The attack passed through the thick trunk without slowing down.
For a brief moment, nothing seemed to happen.
Then a thin golden line appeared across the middle of the tree.
The upper half slowly shifted.
CRACK!
The massive trunk separated cleanly into two, the cut surface so smooth that it almost looked polished. Branches crashed against the neighboring trees as the upper section tilted sideways, dragging leaves and smaller branches down with it before finally slamming into the forest floor.
BOOM!
The ground shook from the impact.
Dust and broken leaves rose around the fallen tree.
Ezra was already gone.
He remained airborne several meters away, his body still carrying the momentum from his earlier jump.
