Feeling the steady yet unmistakable improvement in his comprehension of the laws, Bai Yue turned his attention inward, surveying the inner Universe of his main body.

This place was fundamentally different from the inner worlds of his clones.

The clones were tools—important ones, certainly—but expendable. Even if all of them were destroyed simultaneously, the loss would amount to nothing more than a consumption of energy and time. As long as the Dao Fruit remained intact, Bai Yue could reconstruct every clone from the void, restoring them step by step.

But the inner Universe of the Dao Fruit was different.

This was his true core.

Since the moment it received acknowledgment from the Earth Origin Law, and with the continuous conversion of material energy from the void over time, this inner Universe had begun to undergo qualitative change. What was once a silent, dead expanse of darkness now possessed the faint pulse of vitality.

More importantly, Bai Yue discovered something astonishing.

As matter circulated within this inner Universe, his comprehension of laws was improving automatically.

The increase was extremely subtle—so small that it would be imperceptible to anyone else—but it was real. This growth did not come from external observation or cultivation. It came from within the Universe that belonged solely to him.

This realization caused Bai Yue's thoughts to race.

If one day, his inner Universe reached the scale of the Primordial Universe, then the accumulation of law comprehension he gained every single moment would be immeasurable.

Endless.

That was when Bai Yue clearly understood—

the true terrifying potential of the Dao Fruit lay here.

Structuring the Inner Universe

What he needed now was order.

Drawing inspiration from the structure of the Primordial Universe, Bai Yue began planning the layout of his inner Universe.

First, he separated out distinct regions:

A Space dedicated to the Earth Origin LawA Space dedicated to the Metal Origin LawA Space dedicated to World Power

These regions were equivalent to miniature law origin oceans. The scale was still tiny compared to the real universe, but the structure was complete.

Outside of these, Bai Yue reserved an independent region as his personal activity domain.

Within this space, the world took on a mythological form—round sky, square earth.

A massive continent stretched more than 90,000 kilometers in all directions, surrounded by a boundless ocean. Across the land, vegetation flourished. Most of it consisted of ordinary plant species Bai Yue had collected and analyzed over the years, but even so, it gave the world a vivid sense of life.

At the very center of the continent stood a towering mountain range.

Upon it rose an endless palace complex, grand and solemn.

This would be his future residence.

Constructing all of this consumed only a tiny fraction of the World Power he had "borrowed" from the universe origin. It wasn't that he couldn't make it larger—rather, at his current stage, World Power had far more important uses than aesthetics.

Birth of Stars

In the largest region of the inner Universe, Bai Yue shifted his thoughts.

World Power surged.

The rocks, soil, gases, and other substances he had converted from the void over time rapidly multiplied. What had once been an empty, desolate starry sky became crowded in an instant.

Boom!

Two nearby spherical bodies collided.

Pulled together by gravity, they merged into a larger mass.

Collisions followed one after another, World Power burning away with each impact.

Then—

A spark ignited.

The first star of the inner Universe was born.

Golden-yellow light pierced the darkness, illuminating deep space. For the first time, light truly descended upon this inner world.

After the first came the second.

Then the third.

One thousand.

Five thousand.

Eventually, the number surpassed thirty-two thousand.

Only then did the growth slow, as the World Power temporarily stored from the universe origin was nearly exhausted.

Now, the starry sky was no longer empty.

A vast galaxy had taken shape.

Through Bai Yue's deliberate guidance, nearly every stellar system contained at least one planet suitable for life. Upon these planets, he used small amounts of World Power to create vegetation. The variety was limited, but the foundation for future evolution had been laid.

As everything stabilized, Bai Yue sensed another crucial change.

The speed at which he extracted energy from the void had increased dramatically.

The World Power he had consumed began to recover—and continued to grow.

At the outskirts of the galaxy, dozens of new stellar systems formed every second, slowly expanding the total volume of the Universe.

At the same time, within Bai Yue's consciousness, new insights surfaced without warning.

Fire Law.

Wood Law.

Fragmentary yet genuine comprehension bloomed naturally, as if gifted by the Universe itself.

After the World Lord Breakthrough

Back in Primordial Chaos City, after the Golden-Horned Beast clone broke through to World Lord, the transformation of consciousness caused the perception of law origins for Bai Yue's two Chaos City clones to increase by over a hundredfold.

The laws had never been so clear.

Comprehension accelerated explosively.

Upon reaching World Lord, Bai Yue gained one additional clone slot. However, until he truly transcended, the supreme rules of the Swallowed Star universe still applied.

He could only create clones through the Golden-Horned Beast's clone technique. Any attempt to bypass this restriction outside the Dao Fruit's inner world would result in immediate annihilation by the supreme rules.

For now, Bai Yue had not yet decided how to use this new clone slot.

Ideally, it would assist in comprehending additional elemental laws—but he lacked the proper foundation for that at the moment.

Genetic Optimization Plan

As a registered disciple of the Primordial Chaos City Lord, Bai Yue's authority within the Virtual Universe Corporation rose once again.

This granted him access to a broader range of restricted resources.

On the corporation's internal network, he began purchasing every type of biological genetic material he could afford.

His goal was clear:

to improve his genetic level.

At present, his clones focused primarily on law comprehension. The maintenance and expansion of the inner Universe, driven by instinctive conversion from the void, required little conscious effort.

This freed Bai Yue to concentrate on another long-term plan.

Using the Dao Fruit's analysis ability, he would dissect the genetic structures of various life forms—identifying their strengths, compensating for weaknesses, and ultimately modifying his clones' genetic foundations.

For Bai Yue, this was not a dangerous endeavor.

With the Dao Fruit's eternal verification ability, even if a modified genetic structure collapsed under the universe's rules, the loss would be negligible.

Ordinary creature genetic samples were cheap, though limited in variety.

What was truly expensive were peak bloodlines and special life forms.

Some complete corpses of special life forms cost tens or even hundreds of millions of Hun Yuan units. He even saw listings for living creatures—sealed, hypnotized, and restrained by secret techniques—ranging across countless races, including rare special life forms.

Such transactions were only possible within the internal network of the Virtual Universe Corporation.

Even with money, outsiders could never access them.

Bai Yue felt genuine envy—but he was not reckless.

When he first entered Primordial Chaos City, he had sold a massive batch of primal force weapons through Gan Yang King, earning over one million Hun Yuan units. At the time, he believed that sum would last him a very long while.

Reality proved otherwise.

Between purchasing special life-form genetic samples for Wind and Time law comprehension, buying secret manuals, and accelerating cultivation, his expenses skyrocketed.

Fortunately—

Ji Ning's clone passed the 12th level of the Tongtian Bridge.

Bai Yue passed the seventh level.

Combined with the 100,000 points awarded for first place in the genius battle, his total assets still hovered near 500,000 points.

Enough to breathe.

For now.
