Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 -- Nine Yuan Star

Nine Yuan Star's internal transit zone bustled with restrained tension.

Not long after Bai Yue entered the docking area, a staff member stepped forward. The man wore standard battle armor, his posture respectful, his smile practiced.

"Hello, sir. I'm a staff member here," he said politely, while secretly observing the faint Origin Law mark on Bai Yue's forehead. A World Lord acknowledged by the laws… and able to afford such a luxury universe spacecraft. This one definitely has a deep background.

Bai Yue's gaze briefly swept over him before he asked calmly, "I'm heading to the Outside Territory Battlefield. Where should I go?"

"The Universe armies depart collectively," the staff member explained, pointing toward a distant structure. "As for lone cultivators, please proceed through that passage. It leads to the assembly point."

In the distance stretched a transparent corridor constructed from special alloy glass, over three thousand kilometers long, suspended in space like a crystalline bridge.

"Thank you," Bai Yue replied.

He turned and walked toward the passage. Given his current realm and law comprehension, traversing such a distance would take only a few brief flashes—but he chose to walk at an unhurried pace, quietly observing his surroundings.

At the end of the corridor lay a vast square.

Its diameter exceeded one hundred kilometers, yet despite the presence of over ten thousand cultivators, it still appeared sparsely populated. Domain Lords formed the majority, Universe Rank cultivators were fewer, and World Lords were the rarest of all.

A charming female receptionist with a soft tail swaying behind her approached and smiled. "Please rest here for the time being."

"When will we depart for the Outside Territory Battlefield?" Bai Yue asked.

"We need to gather a sufficient number of lone travelers," she explained patiently. "Otherwise, the logistics cost is too high. You arrived at a good time—some of the earliest arrivals have already waited over ten days. Lone cultivators gather slowly, unlike the armies of Universe Nations."

Bai Yue nodded in understanding.

He moved to one side of the square, where rows of alloy benches had been placed. Many cultivators sat quietly, meditating, drinking, or exchanging low voices through soundproof barriers. Bai Yue selected a seat at random and sat down.

Not long after, someone approached him.

"Brother, you're here alone?"

Two red-haired ape-man race warriors walked over, their builds tall and sturdy. Perhaps sensing familiarity from Bai Yue's current form, they struck up a conversation naturally.

Bai Yue glanced at them and immediately saw through their strength—both were peak World Lords, and each bore clear signs of Origin Law acknowledgment. Among the ten thousand present, such individuals were rare.

"Yes," Bai Yue replied calmly. "I came alone."

"That must've been a long journey," one of them laughed. "It took us over ten years traveling by spaceship."

As they spoke, the two casually produced wine from their spatial rings and poured three cups.

"My name is Tiger," the older one said, gesturing to the other. "This is my younger brother, Pingzhi. And you?"

Bai Yue paused briefly, then smiled faintly. "You can call me Walker."

The brothers immediately understood—this was not his true name. They did not pry further, instead chatting casually about their experiences, the waiting period, and rumors from the Outside Territory Battlefield.

As time passed, the square grew subtly livelier.

When Bai Yue arrived, the number of World Lords had already exceeded ninety. By the following day, it finally reached the required threshold of one hundred.

A deep voice echoed across the square.

"Universe Rank—assemble here!"

"Domain Lords—assemble here!"

"World Lord experts—come forward!"

The massive passage gates opened. The ten thousand lone cultivators were rapidly sorted. Bai Yue rose from his seat and joined the group of World Lords, standing calmly among them.

Before them stood an Immortal God, his body radiating dense killing intent, his form seemingly cast entirely from metal.

"World Lord warriors," the Immortal God said solemnly, his voice carrying unquestionable authority. "You are about to step onto the most glorious—and most brutal—battlefield of the Human Race: the Outside Territory Battlefield."

"But remember this—once you enter the army, you are no longer lone cultivators. The army has its rules."

A pause followed.

"Before departure, we will conduct the authority granting ceremony."

Murmurs rippled through the group.

"Authority granting?"

"What does that mean?"

The Immortal God continued without impatience. "Authority determines your standing within the army. Orders are absolute, and ranks are clear. Your authority is determined by your strength."

"Through assessment?" someone asked.

"No," the Immortal God replied. "Through your Virtual Universe evaluation. Your historical combat data and peak performance have already been recorded."

"The authority levels are divided into three tiers."

"First: Ordinary World Lord Warrior."

"Second: Elite World Lord Warrior."

"Third: Sector Lord War General."

"Most World Lords fall into the first category. Those acknowledged by Origin Laws may barely qualify as Elite. As for Sector Lord War Generals—on average, only one emerges from a hundred Elite World Lords."

His gaze swept the crowd. "If anyone believes they did not display their full strength in the Virtual Universe, you may do so now."

Silence.

After ten breaths, the Immortal God nodded. "Very well. Step forward one by one."

A blue beam shot from his armguard, enveloping each approaching World Lord.

"Ordinary World Lord Warrior."

"Elite World Lord Warrior."

"Elite World Lord Warrior."

Titles were announced one after another, transmitted directly by the Virtual Universe System into each recipient's consciousness.

Soon, it was Bai Yue's turn.

The blue light descended, scanning him thoroughly.

A brief pause followed.

Then the armguard emitted a clear voice:

"Sector Lord War General."

For an instant, the square went quiet.

Countless gazes turned toward Bai Yue—shock, disbelief, and admiration mixed together. Even staff members handling Domain Lords in the distance stared over in astonishment.

Among one hundred World Lords, a Sector Lord War General had appeared.

The Immortal God studied Bai Yue closely, then nodded in approval. "Not bad."

Bai Yue remained calm, stepping aside without a trace of pride, waiting silently for the next command.
