Chapter 120 - Chapter 120 -- Beast God Inheritance

[10 ch today for not uploading for last few days, 5 tomorrow ]

As Bai Yue had already understood, the Inheritance Land was the place where Beast God Inheritances were received and where one's comprehension of laws was tested.

The Treasure Land, on the other hand, housed the legacies left behind by the Ancestral Gods, Guardian Beast Gods, and countless supreme experts who had cultivated the Beast God Dao across the long history of the Ancestor God Religion. It contained an immeasurable number of treasures. Naturally, those treasures were not free for the taking—each was protected by obstacles, trials, and restrictions personally arranged by the seniors who had left them behind. Only those who met the requirements could claim them.

Bai Yue also knew that not long ago, one of the Human Race's Champion Seven Swords had successfully obtained a treasure from the Treasure Land, causing no small stir.

As for the Mystic Region Land, it served as a gateway into the depths of the Zu Shen Mystic Region itself. This was the most mysterious secret region in the entire universe, home to the strangest lifeforms and countless natural wonders. Whether they were rare materials, precious treasures, or even supreme treasures nurtured directly by the universe, all of them could potentially be found there.

After granting Bai Yue the relevant permissions, the Guardian Beast God waved him away from the palace without further ceremony.

Leaving the island master's palace, Bai Yue did not immediately enter the Inheritance Land. Instead, he returned to Zijing Island to establish his residence.

Arriving at the location designated earlier by Ficang Clan Venerable, Bai Yue mobilized the world power of his inner world. In a matter of moments, a castle roughly one kilometer in length and width took shape. Its design was modeled directly after the residence he used in Primordial Chaos City—simple, sturdy, and practical.

He had come here to cultivate and fuse laws, not to enjoy luxury. A place to reside was enough.

With a dull boom, the castle settled firmly into the ground. Tall walls surrounded it, with only a few narrow windows left open, making it nearly impossible to see the interior from the outside.

After a brief glance at his handiwork, Bai Yue turned around and returned to the square in front of the island master's palace.

This time, he headed straight for the leftmost fountain-like water curtain—the passage leading to the Inheritance Land.

The moment his body touched the flowing water, his figure vanished.

When his vision cleared, Bai Yue was immediately assaulted by a terrifying pressure.

His movements became sluggish, as though he were carrying a neutron star on his back. At the same time, a powerful pressure bore down on his soul, making even his thoughts feel heavier.

After stabilizing himself, Bai Yue surveyed his surroundings.

The space was an endless void, shrouded in dense black mist. Suspended in the void was a massive meteorite, upon which sat a towering figure clad in purple armor—a wolf-headed powerhouse from the Werewolf Race, one of the major branches of the Human Race.

When the wolf-headed expert saw Bai Yue's Golden-Horned Beast clone, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes before he smiled.

"I didn't expect a Golden-Horned Beast this time," the wolf-headed man said. "Your Starry Sky Behemoth Alliance truly is well-suited to the Beast God Inheritance."

"Greetings, Venerable Jiu Feng," Bai Yue said respectfully.

"Little fellow, what's your name?" Jiu Feng asked casually.

"You may call me Jinguang," Bai Yue replied smoothly, choosing a temporary alias.

He knew very well who stood before him. Venerable Jiu Feng was one of the Seven-Star Overlords of the Human Hong Alliance—an existence on par with the Celestial Eclipse Palace Master. Rumor had it that he had already received a complete Divine General Inheritance.

"This is one of the most important inheritance grounds of the Ancestor God Religion," Jiu Feng said leisurely. "The pressure you feel is both on the divine body and the soul imprint. Without Champion-level strength, one would be crushed instantly."

"That is why most inheritors who come here are Champions. For the major races, only those who have reached Undying are qualified to receive a Beast God Inheritance Token. Any peerless genius granted such a token—once they become Undying—will never be weaker than a Champion."

He gestured toward the surrounding darkness. "Do you see the black mist?"

Bai Yue nodded.

"Enter it," Jiu Feng said simply. "That is where the inheritance begins."

The moment Bai Yue flew into the black mist, an unfathomable force seized his body.

Even with his ironclad will, and even without his true body present, he found himself completely unable to resist. His body froze in midair as though taken over by an invisible hand.

Slowly, his right claw extended.

A stream of world power flowed from his claw tip, condensing into intricate law runes. Before Bai Yue could react, the Gold–Space fusion law began to manifest from its most fundamental level.

Without his control, his body demonstrated every insight he had ever gained—starting from the basics, advancing step by step. Rows upon rows of law patterns appeared, intertwining around him and forming a resplendent world of laws.

Time seemed to lose meaning.

When everything finally stopped, the mysterious force withdrew as suddenly as it had arrived.

Bai Yue regained control of his body, cold sweat soaking through him.

What shocked him most was not the loss of control—but the feeling itself. The force had not been domineering. Instead, it made resistance feel utterly unnecessary, as though opposing it had never even been an option.

This was a power Bai Yue had only ever imagined before.

The consciousness of the Primordial Universe.

Before he could fully process the thought, the force descended again.

"Third Level."

The voice did not use any language, yet Bai Yue understood it instantly.

His consciousness sank into a strange, profound state.

Within that state, the deeper mysteries of the Beast God Dao unfolded before him in exquisite detail. The Gold–Space fusion laws were dismantled, explained, and reconstructed piece by piece, as though a supreme existence were directly imprinting understanding into his mind.

Compared to this, even observing the 52 Chaos Tablets felt crude.

When the force finally dissipated, Bai Yue's eyes were blazing.

"Too incredible…" he murmured.

His comprehension of the Gold–Space fusion law had advanced by a massive margin. Fragmented insights that had once been scattered were now tightly linked together, forming the vague outline of a true Beast God Dao.

The black mist repelled him, ejecting him back into the void.

"Don't just stand there dazed," Venerable Jiu Feng called out.

"The Beast God Inheritance has seven levels," Jiu Feng explained. "The Inheritance Land first assesses your comprehension. If you have mastered the first two levels but not the third, you receive the third. If you've mastered the third, you receive the fourth."

"Which level are you at now?"

"The third level," Bai Yue replied honestly. "And I've gained a great deal."

After offering a few more words of guidance, Jiu Feng sent him out of the inheritance space.

Returning to his castle, Bai Yue immediately sealed the gates and entered seclusion.

His task was clear: fully absorb everything he had just received and make it his own.

His Original Universe cooperated at full capacity, deducing, refining, and stabilizing every fragment of comprehension. Bai Yue intended to completely master the third level of the Gold–Space fusion law in the shortest possible time.

Meanwhile, at the forward base outside the Zu Shen Mystic Region, his other clones began entering one after another with their respective Beast God Inheritance Tokens.

By the time the third clone entered the Zu Shen Mystic Region, three years had passed.

That clone, holding the Thunder–Time Beast God Inheritance Token, had transformed into a Thunder Spirit—a tall energy-based lifeform born from a terrifying thunder ocean deep within a distant Universe Secret Realm. With treasure armor concealing his aura, he displayed only Champion-level strength and attracted no attention.

Such a disguise was meaningless before a Guardian Beast God, but treasures that merely concealed aura were beneath notice for beings of that level.

Back in Primordial Chaos City, Bai Yue was suddenly interrupted during cultivation.

"Come see me."

Primordial Chaos City Lord's voice echoed directly in his mind.

Bai Yue rose immediately and headed toward the City Lord's mansion.

After bowing respectfully, he listened as his teacher spoke with a smile.

"The discussion has concluded. It's good news—the application has been approved. Your identity as Battle King impressed the Universe Lords greatly. The Beast God Inheritance Token will be delivered within two days."

Bai Yue bowed deeply. "Thank you, Teacher."

After a brief hesitation, Bai Yue also voiced his own plans.

His comprehension of the Eight Lower Laws was already near completion. Breaking through to Undying would be effortless. Yet he intended to delay—he wished to first nurture a large-bodied clone, one capable of sustaining vast divine power reserves in the future.

After all, the larger the divine body, the more terrifying the foundation.

The Lord of the Nine Nethers, whose divine body spanned light-years, was the clearest example.

And one day—

Bai Yue intended to surpass even that.
