Goku raised his head toward the sky and shouted,
"Flying Nimbus!"
In the next instant, a seven-colored auspicious cloud streaked through the air and flew straight toward him.
Chi-Chi gasped in shock.
"Goku—what is that?!"
Goku chuckled.
"I was originally planning to give this cloud to Bulma," he said teasingly.
"But thinking about it now, she's already great at flying airplanes."
"So I figured—it'd be better to give it to you instead."
"With this cloud, whenever you miss me, you can ride it straight to Mount Paozu to find me!"
Hearing that the Flying Nimbus would let her visit Goku anytime, Chi-Chi was overwhelmed with joy.
She quickly climbed onto the Seven-Colored Flying Nimbus.
"Goku! I really got on!" she exclaimed happily.
"This cloud is amazing!"
But suddenly, as if she had thought of something, the smile on her face faded.
She quickly shook her head.
"Goku… I can't take this Flying Nimbus."
"Why not?" Goku asked in confusion.
Chi-Chi answered seriously,
"If you give such a precious thing to me, but Bulma doesn't get one… she'll probably be upset."
"…Would she?" Goku said uncertainly.
After all, Bulma was usually straightforward and generous.
Chi-Chi spoke softly,
"Goku, even though I really want the Flying Nimbus,
if I have it and Bulma doesn't, it would make her unhappy."
"And if she's unhappy, it'll cause you trouble."
"So… if I want to become a qualified wife, I can't do that."
After saying this, Chi-Chi reluctantly jumped down from the cloud.
Goku could clearly see the unwillingness in her eyes.
And what she said… did seem to make some sense.
Suddenly, something occurred to him.
Chi-Chi could ride a proper Flying Nimbus.
And proper Flying Nimbus clouds weren't unique—
aside from Master Roshi's, Korin still had many of them.
Goku immediately said,
"Chi-Chi, I just remembered something."
"The colorful Flying Nimbus really is one of a kind,
but there are also golden Flying Nimbus clouds in this world."
"If you like the golden ones, I can take you to get one."
Chi-Chi's bright eyes blinked.
"Really?"
"Really," Goku nodded.
Chi-Chi's cheeks suddenly flushed red, leaving Goku completely puzzled.
He couldn't help asking,
"Chi-Chi, what's wrong?"
Covering her blushing face, she said shyly,
"I've only seen on TV boys taking girls to pick stars…"
"I've never heard of someone taking a girl to pick clouds before."
"Goku… I didn't know you were this romantic…"
Goku: "..."
"Chi-Chi, I really do mean taking you to get a Flying Nimbus," he said seriously.
"But the golden Flying Nimbus has conditions."
"Only pure-hearted people can ride it."
"Bulma and the others are… too impure. They can't get on it at all."
"That's why I thought of giving the colorful one to her."
Chi-Chi smiled gently.
"I know, Goku. You don't need to explain."
"You're my everything. Whatever you say, I'll do it—I won't make things difficult for you."
"Don't worry. My heart is as pure as a toilet flush tank," she added earnestly.
"I'll definitely be able to ride the golden Flying Nimbus!"
Goku nodded.
"I know."
"Then let's use this cloud first. I'll take you to get a golden one."
Chi-Chi blinked curiously.
"Where do we go to pick it?"
"To Korin Tower," Goku replied.
"Flying Nimbus clouds are under Korin's care."
"But first, try flying it around a bit to get used to it.
If you're comfortable, we'll ride this one there."
Chi-Chi nodded.
"Okay… but I'm a little scared of heights at first. I'm afraid of falling."
"Can you ride with me?"
"Sure," Goku said, climbing onto the cloud as well.
Chi-Chi gently placed his hands around her waist and said shyly,
"Hold me a bit tighter."
Her waist was slender, yet her figure was full and well-proportioned—
comfortable to hold.
Though she was the one asking him to hold tight, when he did, her body trembled slightly.
"What's wrong, Chi-Chi?" Goku asked.
She whispered shyly,
"N-nothing… it just tickles a little. I'll get used to it."
"Goku… shall we take off?"
Goku nodded.
"Yeah. Try giving it the command."
Chi-Chi pointed forward and called out softly,
"Flying Nimbus—let's go!"
In an instant, the Seven-Colored Flying Nimbus turned into a streak of light, circling through the sky above Fire Mountain.
Sitting on the cloud, feeling the gentle wind brush her face, Chi-Chi's smile was brighter than ever.
Before long, she completely adapted and no longer feared falling.
"Goku, where are we going to get the golden Flying Nimbus?"
"Korin Tower—over that way!" Goku said, pointing into the distance.
Chi-Chi shouted excitedly,
"Flying Nimbus, take us over there!"
The moment her voice fell, the cloud shot forward at high speed.
Holding the shy and adorable Chi-Chi in his arms, Goku felt unusually lighthearted.
He realized he truly preferred this version of her—
gentle, considerate, and warm.
Silently, he made a vow to himself.
He would remember Master Roshi's teachings—not just to train hard, but to live well.
He would spend more time with Chi-Chi.
He would never let life turn her into a sharp-tempered housewife.
The Seven-Colored Flying Nimbus flew swiftly.
In only a short while, the two arrived at Korin Tower.
Since this wasn't Goku's first visit, climbing from the ground or flying up made no difference anymore.
He guided Chi-Chi and landed directly atop the tower.
"Korin, are you here?" Goku called out, holding Chi-Chi's hand and looking around.
Footsteps sounded from above.
Korin descended the stairs step by step.
"So it's you, Goku," he said with a smile.
"I was wondering who it might be."
Goku greeted him cheerfully.
"How have you been lately, Korin?"
"Not bad," Korin replied.
"But you—you're truly incredible."
"When Demon King Piccolo appeared, even I was worried for the world."
"I never expected you to actually defeat him."
Goku scratched his head.
"It wasn't that big a deal… Krillin was the one who finished him off."
Korin quickly waved his paw.
"Don't be modest. I saw everything!"
"Even if the final blow was Krillin's, the real credit belongs entirely to you."
Chi-Chi stared at Korin in shock, then leaned close to Goku and whispered,
"Goku… is he Korin? Why is he a cat?"
Goku laughed.
"Oh right, I forgot to introduce him."
"That's right—Korin is a cat. You can also call him the Cat Hermit!"
Then he turned to Korin.
"Korin, this is Chi-Chi—my future wife!"
Chi-Chi politely extended her hand.
"Hello, Korin!"
