Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo flew side by side, cutting through the sky like three streaks of light.
Before long, they reached the area near South City—hovering above an island.
Gohan pointed ahead. "Look! That's Uncle Krillin!"
Hearing his voice, Krillin turned around and immediately spotted them. His tense expression loosened at once.
"Gohan's here too, huh? You've gotten taller!"
Goku frowned slightly. "Krillin, why are you here? Didn't I tell you to leave it to me?"
Krillin scratched his head awkwardly. "I know I'm not that strong… I might not even be able to help."
"But I'm still a martial artist. If I know a powerful enemy is coming, there's no way I can just sit at home."
Goku nodded, then warned him seriously. "When the enemy shows up, watch out for sneak attacks. And don't go off alone."
Krillin nodded hard. "Got it."
"Also—there are a few strong presences down there. Yamcha and the others should already be here."
Goku glanced downward. "Gohan, Piccolo—let's go."
The three of them descended, and Krillin followed right behind.
They soon saw Yamcha, Tien—
And even Raditz and Nappa.
Yamcha sensed them and looked up, hands on his hips. "You guys finally made it. You're late—we've been here for a while."
Raditz walked straight to Gohan, grinning. "Gohan, long time no see. You really grew."
Gohan immediately lifted his head respectfully. "Hello, Uncle Raditz! I've been training hard!"
Raditz casually ruffled his hair. "Good. Don't drag everyone down when we meet the enemy."
Goku chuckled. "Don't worry about Gohan. He's trained with me for three years."
"He's still young… but his strength might not be below yours anymore."
"…Really?" Raditz and Nappa both looked genuinely surprised.
Tien frowned, scanning the quiet island. "So this is the place where the Androids appear?"
"The time's already here… but there's no movement at all."
Nappa nodded. "Yeah. I checked. It's already past ten."
"And there's no strong presence anywhere. Could the info be wrong?"
Goku's eyes narrowed. "The Androids probably don't have ki."
"So even if they're right here, we won't be able to sense them."
"What?" Tien's expression tightened. "No ki?"
"We're used to tracking by ki… that makes this troublesome."
"It's fine," Goku said calmly. "The island isn't that big."
"We've got enough people. If we spread out, we'll find them."
"But listen—since they can hide and they're strong, we can't let ourselves get picked off."
"Two people per group. No exceptions."
"That makes sense," Krillin agreed quickly. "Let's do what Goku says."
Piccolo crossed his arms, impatient. "Then move. I'm sick of waiting."
Soon, everyone split up and began searching across the island.
Raditz and Nappa paired together, walking through a busy district.
But after searching for a long time, they saw no signs of destruction at all.
Only the blazing sun overhead—hot enough to make them sweat through everything.
Nappa wiped the sweat on his bald head and complained, "This is a waste of time."
"That Future Gohan said the Androids were terrifying—stronger than Super Saiyans."
"But if they were really that strong… why would they hide on some tiny island?"
"I'm telling you, Kakarot's making a big deal out of nothing."
Raditz crossed his arms, nodding. "Yeah, it doesn't add up."
"If I were an Android—and I had power stronger than a Super Saiyan—I'd go take revenge immediately."
"I wouldn't hide in a crowd."
Then Raditz suddenly remembered something and asked, "By the way… why isn't Vegeta here?"
Nappa spread his hands. "How should I know?"
"I haven't trained with Vegeta in a while."
Raditz blinked. "Why not?"
Nappa's face darkened. "Because he said I was in the way."
Raditz: "..."
Just then, Nappa sniffed the air.
"Raditz… do you smell that?"
"There's… a metallic stench."
Raditz scoffed. "Nappa, our noses are good, but we're not dogs."
"This whole place is steel and concrete. Cars are everywhere."
"Of course it smells like metal."
"…Fair." Nappa fanned his head. "This sun is brutal. I'm thirsty."
"There's a cold drink stall over there. I'm going to grab water."
"You want anything?"
Raditz shook his head. "Go. I'm fine."
Raditz found shade and sat down.
Nappa walked over to the stall and pointed at the biggest cup.
"Hey, kid. Give me a large lemon drink."
The girl behind the stall spoke flatly, pointing to two cups. "This is extra-large. This is large."
Nappa frowned and jabbed at the biggest one. "I don't care. I want that large one."
The girl corrected him seriously. "Sorry, that one is extra-large."
Nappa's eyebrow twitched. His voice jumped up a level.
"Are you stupid?!"
"Give me the big cup and hurry up!"
The girl flinched, muttering under her breath, "This guy is scary…"
But her hands moved fast—ice, lemon drink, lid.
She pushed it forward. "Your extra-large lemon drink. Eight hundred."
Nappa reached to take it—
And in the next instant, a hand clamped over his mouth from behind.
His eyes widened.
He struggled violently—but he couldn't break free.
"Mm—MMM!!"
That hand had monstrous strength.
Worse—
It was draining him.
His stamina began vanishing at an absurd speed, like water pouring out of a broken bucket.
Nappa's whole body started shaking.
In that moment, he realized the truth.
Androids…!
His thoughts flashed with panic.
Damn it… I should've listened to Kakarot. I shouldn't have gotten careless…
I didn't even SEE the Androids and I'm already about to die—what a joke…!
Only a few seconds passed—
And Nappa was already too weak to resist.
The hand covering his mouth pulled away.
Then—
It turned into a blade.
A hand-knife pierced straight through Nappa's chest.
Blood streamed down his muscles.
Nappa's pupils dilated.
Then slowly… they began to fade.
The girl behind the stall screamed at the top of her lungs.
"AHHH!! MURDER!!"
Not far away, Raditz heard it and immediately ran over—still shouting as he moved.
"Nappa! It's just water! What, are you harassing a kid?! Stop it—if Kakarot sees—"
But when Raditz arrived, he didn't see Nappa bullying anyone.
He saw Nappa being held like a toy.
His brain froze for a split second.
Android 20 casually flicked his arm—
And threw Nappa's body to the ground like trash.
"Hmm…"
He smacked his lips, almost satisfied.
"I have to admit… Saiyan energy is impressive."
"Just Nappa alone gave me this much."
"If I absorb a few more of these weak ones…"
"Dealing with Son Goku will be more than enough."
Android 19 turned his head toward Android 20. "Twenty… you absorbed Nappa."
"Then Raditz belongs to me. Agreed?"
Raditz's scalp went cold.
If Nappa couldn't even resist… then he—
Without thinking, Raditz snapped his head up and shouted toward the sky:
"KAKAROT!!"
Android 19 and Android 20 both looked up.
But the sky was empty.
Silent.
Nothing.
When Android 20 looked back down—
Raditz was already dragging Nappa's body, sprinting away.
Android 20's mouth curled into a cold smile.
"Trying to run?"
"19—catch him."
"He's yours."
In the next instant, Android 19 appeared in front of Raditz—blocking his path.
Raditz threw Nappa's half-dead body down and clenched his fists, eyes blazing.
"Damn it… then I'll fight!"
His aura exploded as he launched a punch at Android 19.
Android 19 slipped aside easily—so light it looked effortless.
Then his hand shot out and grabbed Raditz's wrist.
Raditz tried to rip free—
But that grip was like iron.
No matter how he struggled, he couldn't move it even an inch.
"What…?!"
"How is your strength bigger than mine…?!"
Android 19's mouth curved into a nasty smile.
"You can't escape."
"Raditz… your energy belongs to me."
Raditz roared, forcing more power out.
"I'm a Saiyan warrior!"
"How could I lose to some damn puppet?!"
Android 19's grip tightened.
And in the next second—
Raditz's stamina began draining violently.
Now he understood.
This was why Nappa fell without a fight.
The absorption was too fast.
It could empty someone in moments.
Despair climbed Raditz's spine.
But then—
BOOM!
Android 19 suddenly flew backward like he'd been hit by a cannon.
Android 20's expression changed instantly.
"What?!"
Raditz snapped his head up—
And saw Goku standing in front of him.
"Kakarot…!!"
Goku glanced at the two Androids, then turned to Raditz.
"You alright?"
Raditz shook his head quickly. "I'm fine… but Nappa might be… basically dead."
Goku looked down at Nappa's body. "He's still barely breathing."
"When Krillin gets here, feed him a Senzu Bean immediately."
Because of the girl's scream, the others began arriving one after another.
Krillin rushed in—
And Raditz shouted the moment he saw him:
"Krillin! Senzu—now!"
Krillin saw Nappa on the ground, gritted his teeth, and immediately tossed Raditz a bean.
Raditz didn't hesitate.
He fed it to Nappa.
In the next instant, Nappa's body snapped back to full strength as if death had never touched him.
He shot upright—
And his eyes locked onto Android 20 with pure rage.
"You bastard!"
"You sneak-attacked me—?! I'll tear you apart!!"
Nappa raised his hand, aiming an energy blast straight at Android 20.
"Stop, Nappa!" Goku shouted.
But it was too late.
The blast fired.
Android 20's face didn't change at all.
He simply raised his palm.
And the energy wave—
Was absorbed completely.
