ZEPHYRUS' POV
The storm didn't take me gently.
It swallowed me from beneath the courtroom floor and dragged me upward through a spiral of violent wind.
The world around me dissolved into a frenzied blur of colors and sounds, until I was carried unceremoniously through the entrance of the dreaded Crazed Spire.
Thunder cracked sharply around my ears, and for a moment there was no sky, no ground, only pressure tearing through my lungs.
When the vortex released me, I landed on a hard black stone suspended in open nothing.
The Crazed Spire hovered between heaven and abyss, a wide circular platform hanging in an empty space.
The rock beneath my boots was dark and smooth, faint lines glowing through it like cracks that never healed.
Above me, clouds rotated endlessly around a hollow center, lightning moving along the rim in restless streaks that never stopped.
