Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: Magic Coat and High Horsepower

Thanks to Golett having lived in Ancient Relic for a long time, where there were various different gases, its perception of air pressure was quite strong. Coupled with the energy contained within its body, it could use Gravity quite skillfully.

Under Golett's use of Gravity, RaDittash found it somewhat strenuous to run. Fortunately, it had previously "suffered" Gravity training. Otherwise, Ditto would not have appeared so composed.

The last move to test was Magic Coat, a very practical move. A major reason he had set his sights on this Golett was because of this move. In his previous life, this move had firmly countered his battle style, which had greatly annoyed him.

When Magic Coat was used, if the opponent used a move that would cause an abnormal status condition or moves such as Leech Seed, it would reflect the opponent's move back.

If used flexibly, moves such as Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, Yawn, Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, Spore, and some powder moves that inflicted abnormal status would not be feared at all. They could even be reflected back to harm the opponent.

At present, there was no good target to test this move on. Although there were many Grass-type Pokémon here, they were all in tribes and could not be easily provoked.

'A large group of Grass-type Pokémon releasing Stun Spore…' and if he were accidentally paralyzed, that would be very dangerous.

The main focus was still to practice the four punching moves. They could both master body coordination and stimulate the energy within its body, while also strengthening the power of the moves. It could be considered killing two Pidgey with one Rock Throw.

Since Piloswine was injured, Tetsuya recalled it into its Poké Ball early. On the first day of training, Golett was full of enthusiasm. However, Tetsuya could not allow it to exhaust all its passion at once, or it would lead to fatigue.

Leaving half of its training enthusiasm would help maintain an energetic state in future training.

At about nine o'clock, Tetsuya recalled Golett and Ditto and entered the tent to rest.

---◓---

The next day, as the sun rose and shone warmly on his body, the winter chill was swept away.

Tetsuya ate breakfast on the spot together with his Pokémon, packed up the tent, sleeping bag, and other camping equipment, and prepared to set off.

He mounted RaDittash and galloped forward. Suddenly, he heard the ground tremble, and there was a great commotion ahead.

Riding on Rapidash's back, he looked into the distance and saw a group of Gloom and a group of Weepinbell, along with a group of Poliwhirl, fighting fiercely by the lake.

Tetsuya carefully inspected the environment and finally realized where this place was, a small grassland in the northern part of the Johto region.

Originally located in the northern part of Johto and now in winter, it should have been a time when grass was withered and trees had shed their leaves. However, this grassland was adjacent to a volcano in Johto, so it maintained a relatively high temperature and remained like spring all year round, making it most suitable for Grass-type and Water-type Pokémon to thrive.

This place was currently obscure, but twenty years later it would become one of Johto's foremost tourist resorts, forming supporting services with the multiple hot spring lakes inside the volcano ahead. It was indeed a preferred place for wealthy people to enjoy.

The "pioneer" was Psychic Elite Four Will, and it was not far from his auspicious place, Slowpoke Temple. It could be considered his repayment to the temple.

Tetsuya watched the battle by the lake from afar. In a while, he could reap the benefits as a Fisher.

Poliwhirl fought by the water in order to prevent the pollen from Gloom and Weepinbell. Both Weepinbell and Gloom were Grass-type Pokémon, and their moves could not cause any substantial damage to each other. Although they had an advantage against Poliwhirl, Poliwhirl's combat ability was slightly stronger than the two Grass-type Pokémon. Therefore, none of the three groups was able to gain the upper hand.

Gloom's stench and Weepinbell's pollen gradually spread, but were soon scattered by Poliwhirl's Water Gun.

This place was remote, and for the time being there were no Rangers stationed here to mediate conflicts between Pokémon. Therefore, in a moment he could harvest without restraint and would not fear anyone coming out to interfere.

Soon the Pokémon of the three battling sides could no longer use their moves due to exhaustion and instead began to grapple together. Without the interference of the Grass-type Pokémon's pollen, Poliwhirl also dared to come out of the water openly.

Tetsuya felt that he could make his move now. In hand-to-hand combat, Poliwhirl could easily fight one against two. In that case, the battle would end with a great victory for Poliwhirl.

After winning, Poliwhirl would naturally return to the water. Since he currently did not have a Water-type Pokémon, if he did not act now, he would lose the income from this Poliwhirl group.

"Come out, Piloswine, Golett. Charge down and subdue them."

After a night's rest, Piloswine was no longer in serious condition. Of course, the main "harvester" in this entanglement would naturally be Piloswine. Releasing Golett was only to let it witness what battle was like. Moreover, this was a downhill path, which was more beneficial for body coordination.

Running down along the hillside, Hail had already begun to spread outward centered on Piloswine's body during the run. However, this made it difficult for Golett behind it, as it also had to endure the damage from Hail.

At first, Golett advanced steadily on the downhill path. As the slope became steeper, it became more and more unable to control its body. With a stumble, it rolled down along the slope…

'…'

Tetsuya shook his head. When would this Golett's training ever come to an end? Fortunately, he still had three years of stable life. If he truly had to make a living in the wilderness, such a Golett that still required his protection would greatly drag him down.

---◓---

Golett's rolling speed became faster and faster, reaching a completely uncontrollable state. Piloswine was also left far behind by it.

'…

…'

Just as Tetsuya felt helpless, he saw Golett's body wrapped in a yellow dust-like glow as it crashed forward. The three groups that were grappling together were immediately scattered in all directions by the impact.

'This was High Horsepower…'

Tetsuya immediately made the judgment. This was originally a move Golett was born with. However, limited by Golett's body coordination, it could not perform a proper charge to generate momentum. Therefore, High Horsepower had become somewhat useless, unable to unleash its proper power. Only after evolving into Golurk and utilizing a supersonic charge could it truly embody what High Horsepower meant.

This time, Golett used High Horsepower with the impact force gained from rolling downhill, and its power was quite remarkable…

"Cough…" At least this group battle had been easily broken apart by Golett…

However, Golett could not control its own strength at all!

After crashing apart the group battle, it fell into the lake with a splash…

Golett feared water. In his haste, Tetsuya quickly urged Ditto to run toward the lakeside.
