Weezing's physical condition was also far inferior to that of Mamoswine, Ditto, Golurk, and Houndoom. The main reason was that Weezing did not have an effective procedure for "physical training". Although it had overcome Golurk's Gravity, within Tetsuya's training methods, that was merely the basics…
"Gyro Ball, combine it with Sludge Bomb and cut off the flow of the waterfall."
Tetsuya's idea could certainly be called bold. Weezing spun its body… heads(?), but let alone cutting off the flow of waterfall, it could not even endure thirty minutes before being washed away by the current.
Even so, this truly was the, maybe, best method to train the four-headed Weezing's move power and its physique , and through this repeated cycle, Weezing would continue to grow stronger.
As a result, the glacier falls had become the training ground for Golurk, Ditto, Beedrill, and Weezing. It genuinely was a uniquely ideal place for training…
Houndoom could not effectively form mutually enhancing combinations with every team composition Tetsuya had designed, so it could only train its own capabilities independently.
Tetsuya had not done much research on Dark- and Fire-type Pokémon in his previous life, nor had he received much guidance on them in this life. Therefore, at present, he had no way to elevate Houndoom to an even higher level of power. He could only perfect all of its moves on the base it already had.
As for Skorupi, its mornings were the same as Mamoswine's, undergoing physical training with Miltank's Helping Hand. In the afternoons, it battled against Sheila's Pokémon, gaining more battle experience and increasing its level.
The afternoons were devoted to move combination training!
With Mamoswine and Weezing as the core, Ditto transformed into Mamoswine to help strengthen the intensity and power of the [Blizzard Vortex].
Weezing released Poison Gas, wrapping and mixing it into the vortex. Golurk's tremendous raw power, together with Beedrill's Double Team and high-speed assaults, could all cover the execution of this combination.
After that, Ice Punch was used to increase the impact force, and finally Weezing and Houndoom detonated everything with Flamethrower and Overheat or Fireblast.
Throughout the entire process, Miltank's Helping Hand was used to amplify the power of their moves, allowing all of Tetsuya's Pokémon to manifest their capacities to the fullest. The only drawback was that Beedrill and Houndoom would be affected by Mamoswine's Hail, so they would only enter the battle when they were needed.
Beedrill's role was to hold the opponent back during the opening phase of the combination, while Houndoom's role was to coordinate with Weezing in detonating the Poison Gas once the combination overwhelmed the opponent.
As soon as the tasks of the two Pokémon were completed, they would immediately retreat to avoid the continuous damage from the Hail.
In his previous life, the core of his Poison-type tactics/strategy revolved around field control through the combination of Toxic Spikes, Toxic, Venom Drench, and Sticky Web. Right now, however, Skorupi was not strong enough and had not yet learned Toxic Spikes. He would have to wait until it evolved into Drapion before the expanded coverage of Toxic Spikes could support a small-scale group battle.
Moreover, Ariados, the key Pokémon of that core strategy, had not yet been raised. Only Ariados could fully utilize the four moves Toxic Spikes, Toxic, Venom Drench, and Sticky Web together. In addition, Beedrill's toxicity was insufficient, and the Toxic Spikes it produced fell far short of the effect Tetsuya wanted.
As a result, the situation was rather awkward. He still could not form a complete Poison-type team.
Because of this, Tetsuya contacted Mr. Shellby in Eggseter once again. The third-gen female Ariados had to be raised properly. Once his Skorupi grew, evolved into Drapion, and gained the "ability" to breed~, it would definitely breed with the third-gen Ariados!
Since it would be the offspring of his [Badly Poison Drapion], there would be a high chance of raising a [Badly Poisonous Ariados] variant. At that point, he would be able to "upgrade" his Poison-type team.
Combined with the Ice-type team that Pryce was designing for him, his battles would become even more versatile!
That alone would already form a "triple team strategy". As long as he could successfully raise all of those Pokémon, such a team would already surpass the Elite Four level. He could not help but look forward to his future…
---◓---
Since every day was devoted to high-intensity training, Tetsuya did not assign any training tasks at night. Weezing was naturally the exception. He had to help it overcome its mental block so that it would no longer fear moves like Hypnosis. Once it fell into hypnosis, it would often be unable to free itself.
Beneath the flickering waters of the glacier falls…
Gengar used Hypnosis, and Weezing quickly fell into a hypnotic state. Under the influence of the hypnotic waves, Weezing once again dreamed of those terrifying events. Its family and friends had all died. It could not find another of its own kind anywhere in the world. Every Pokémon looked at it with strange eyes. It was lonely and afraid…
At that moment, with the aid of Dream Eater, Tetsuya used a trace of energy to enter Weezing's dream.
He conveyed these words: "…Don't be afraid. Now you have your Trainer, your partners, and your comrades. You're no longer alone… Now you have a family… There's nothing to be afraid of… All of us are here with you…"
Afterward, Gengar created illusions of all of Tetsuya's Pokémon, smiling at Weezing, allowing it to truly see its family.
For several consecutive nights, after being comforted by Tetsuya, Weezing slept peacefully. Even in its dreams, it was calm. At the very least, things were steadily improving.
During the day, Weezing also gradually became more cheerful, speaking more often with the other Pokémon.
After training continuously for a week, Weezing suddenly awoke from Hypnosis and saw Tetsuya. It was deeply moved that Tetsuya had continued staying by its side because of its quirk…
Tetsuya also nodded. The fact that Weezing could emerge from Hypnosis meant it had begun overcoming its trauma.
For several more nights, they continued using Hypnosis on Weezing. Only when it was able to break free from Hypnosis every single time could it be considered to have completely overcome its mental block.
After training continuously for half a month, helping Weezing overcome its psychological struggle was considered the most successful part of the training. Meanwhile, Skorupi had continued its battle training with Sheila, and both its battle experience and level had improved. During those half a month, it also learned Toxic Spikes.
Hone Claws was also one of Drapion's signature moves. By sharpening its claws, it could increase both its Attack and accuracy. Especially after evolving into Drapion, with its three deadly weapons, further boosting its Attack would make it a truly terrifying existence!
Unfortunately, Skorupi's strength was still limited…
The area covered by the Toxic Spikes it used was not very large and could not yet amount to much. For now, Skorupi's training could not stop. The goal was to help it evolve into Drapion as soon as possible.
At noon that day, Sheila brought Tetsuya's lunch over, preparing to continue drilling Tetsuya's Weezing that afternoon.
