Adele finally settled onto a bench, worn out from her wandering; yet, she felt she could have spent the entire day exploring without ever losing interest.
Ilya approached her, holding a cloud of pink cotton candy in one hand and a bottle of water in the other.
"Is it everything you dreamed of?" He passed the cotton candy to Adele and took a seat across from her.
She looked him in his red eyes before tearing a piece of the candy. "Almost."
"What's missing?" He asked.
"I wish there were a Ferris wheel," she said wistfully. "It's the reason I wanted to visit a park. I wish I could go up high and see all the little lights below, like stars brought down to earth."
Click. Adele gazed up from her cotton candy to see Ilya cupping his hand around the flame as he lit a cigarette for himself.
