Charlotte's face beamed. "Caught red-handed. And you are?" There was something oddly familiar about the stranger's voice and eyes, yet Charlotte couldn't remember where she knew her from.
"I'd prefer to hold on to the mystery for now," Adele responded. She had no intention of admitting she was the decorative princess or risking anything without Ilya by her side. "If that's alright?"
"Fair enough." Charlotte walked towards the mirror, fixing her crooked mask and reworking on loose hairdo, looking at her reflection. "We will eventually figure out who you are before the night ends." Her tone was confident and gentle, with a tiny lift of a smile at the corners of her lips, keeping to her status as the CEO of an MNC.
Adele relaxed a bit; "Please pass my warmest birthday wishes to your father." Charlotte smiled as she nodded.
"We should head out," Charlotte suggested finally, checking her image one last time. "The real fun is about to start, and as hostess, I certainly should—"
