The land stretched endlessly beneath a cold moon that never moved. Black forests stood silent. Rivers of mist crawled slowly across the ground like pale ghosts wandering through forgotten lands.
Yet in the center of that quiet world, chaos still raged.
A glowing sphere floated above the cracked ground like a floating prison made of pale blue light. Its surface rippled constantly as violent impacts struck it again and again.
Inside the sphere stood the sorcerer.

Blood ran from the corner of his mouth.
One eye was swollen and half closed.
His breathing came in harsh bursts as he forced more mana into the barrier surrounding him.
