~Jade's POV~
I stared at my phone screen longer than necessary, my lips curving slightly as I reread Xavier's message for what had to be the fifth time.
Hope you love them. Looking forward to seeing you in them.
A soft breath left me as my fingers hovered over the image I had sent him earlier—me, standing in front of my mirror, wearing the outfit he had picked out. I had kept my message simple, just a quiet thank you, but his reply had lingered in my mind ever since.
There was something about the way he said things calmly and effortlessly, yet it always settled somewhere deep in my chest.
"Jade."
Silver's voice broke through my thoughts.
I blinked and looked up, locking my phone as I turned toward him. He stood by the car, one hand resting casually against the door, his silver hair catching the soft glow of the porch light.
"We're here."
I nodded, slipping my phone into my clutch before stepping out.
