"I'll trust your words. I really hope her highness delivers such a performance as she had hoped."
Principal Vale's brows creased immediately.
"Pardon me, West Regional Alpha," she said, straightening slightly. "What highness do we have in the senior class? Let alone in my school?"
There was a shift on the line.
"Excuse me, Principal Vale. What do you mean by that?"
"I have no royalty in the senior class," she replied, her tone firm now. "You must be mistaken, Lord Vegan."
Silence followed.
A few seconds stretched longer than expected before Lord Vegan spoke again, slower this time, as if choosing his words carefully.
"Not only do you have the royal of all royals in your school," he said, "but you have the Lycan King's daughter in your senior class."
Principal Vale's grip on the receiver tightened.
