By the time Severine was done with the formalities, the sky had turned a pretty shade of pink and orange.
She left a message for Killian, who was at Kirine Cafe near the academy. It wouldn't take him more than five minutes to arrive.
Rather than waiting for him at the office waiting area, she decided to pay Alina a visit.
As soon as she stepped out, a gust of hot air blew on her.
The stifling air swirled but carried no relief from the heat. A few beads of sweat instantly rolled down her nape.
Yet her face remained bright. A big smile played on her pink lips as she made her way toward her dorm.
Halfway there, she changed her route. Taking a casual stroll through the academy, she reached the department she was looking for.
The short walk took her more than ten minutes.
Indeed, as Alina complained, the academy was huge, something Severine hadn't bothered to notice until now.
Aside from faculty members going about their work, most of the academy was empty.
