"Have you decided about the proposal?" Emmett asked, still idly swirling the blue drink in his glass.
The glass was half-empty. Clearly, he liked the taste just as much as Alina. Though the heroine was now more focused on the snacks.
Severine silently observed them out of a habit ingrained in her.
"Read their thoughts through their actions. If you can't even tell whether they are being sincere or not, how are you going to judge suitable business partners?"
"Look at their eyes. Even if they are adept at concealing their thoughts, eyes never lie."
Severine had to say that her mother's words were indeed right.
Other than being a good mother, Isabella Vale excelled at almost everything else.
She noticed how Alina's eyes crinkled with a smile when she took a bite of a particular snack, but her eyes slightly dimmed when she ate the sandwich.
Emmett seemed to enjoy that same sandwich.
"What proposal?" Alina muttered, her cheeks still puffed up with food.
