Severine didn't think much of the interaction she had with Austin.
When Alina returned, it was already late. The moment she stepped inside, she started talking about some fragile beauty who had been hurt by a bully.
"You sure do like acting like a heroine," Severine teased.
Maybe it was in Alina's nature. If she saw someone being hurt, she would help them without asking for anything in return.
And it was precisely because of this that when the old Severine followed Damien and Emily's wishes and hurt Alina, the poor girl had been heartbroken.
She had clearly done a good deed, so why was the outcome so different?
Severine was glad that things had changed for both of them.
Alina was still the same—naive, childish justice-bringer.
The heroine raised her chin proudly. "Am I not handsome enough to be a hero? I'll be the fucking main lead!"
Severine chuckled.
"Handsome male lead, good night."
"What good night? Don't you want dinner?"
