"We will spar with naginata today. Tomorrow you will take a mission from The Ancient One and venture into the world to protect it after that we will see", said the badass Master.
"Yes Master", I said while bowing deep while kneeling.
"Okay, get up. We will spar for the whole day today"

I am going to die today. It was a mistake to persist.
Top 1 in the list of bad decisions of my life.
I should have ran at the first sight of that scar on his face. Spar? SPAR? He is fucking trying to kill me. I can feel the fucking bloodlust. I can feel the sharp glint of the blade of his naginata. When the fuck did he get a real naginata. We were using wooden ones for fuck's sake.
I moved with a stable stance despite my lungs protesting to my brain for a respite. The naginata in my hand, held forward, was looking for any place to take advantage in the flurry of sharp deadly attacks which are being relentlessly avoided or parried. The fear was making my body feel like jelly but I still managed to avoid death or decapitating blows. Countless non-fatal cuts were adorning my body as the adrenaline dulled the pain of these cuts that came as the cost of keeping my life from this monster. I keep myself moving despite the butterflies in my stomach.
A head-on attack from above. Block and expect the butt on my left? or right? I tried to deflect the blade to the right making it so that the staff butt attack is limited to the left. I need to jump back.

I got hit on my tense rising shoulder. Fuck. Okay, I need to do something, I can't defend forever, my legs are starting get heavier. What to do? Think Alexis, Think!
Shoulder, knee, wrist, neck, ankle, what is this? Every spot with a blunt hit is some kind of joint and it aches but he could have killed me after any one of those strikes.
Fixes? Lemme focus.
Every spot where he hit was tense, awkward and out of place as I kept fighting. I fixed each of them one by one as I slowly got used to the bloodlust pressure.

Oh Damn.
That was the best decision of my life! Hell yeah, he fixed my whole fighting style in one day, although brutal and impossible for anyone except me to follow as I used my healing magic on muscles and cuts to last longer and clot the wounds from bleeding me to death.
"You will now go to the Ancient One to collect your mission and you will report to me right after this mission is over"

And I felt my body shrivel up and disintegrate with cringe.
"Oh. Heck ne. Please. Not Master, Let me be Alexis, or Mr. Alexis but Not Master"
A chuckle escaped the Ancient One after seeing my reaction as I took the scroll that listed all the information about the mission.

Traits and Habits:
1) Sighted at 3:14 am 2 days ago.
2) Have been sighted carrying dead animal bodies and digging graves.
3) Known numbers are around 100 with around 10 flying creatures and 50 land wolf like creatures and 10 agile fox like creatures and 30 strong golem like creatures.
Request: Please assign a Master and a team that is able to handle A level threat, please include magical investigators to explain the controlled fashion and stealth of these creatures

Well, here I am walking through a portal at midnight to set up shop.
"Okay guys, you know what to do. Let's start in 3", I spoke into the magical comms, with 12 disciples assigned to me on the other end walking through their own portal positioned around the village in formation.
"2, 1"
On the cue, everyone raised their hands and started making hand signs, as I started chanting while forming a huge construct concentric circles that formed a dome, that is invisible to others, and spreading it to cover the whole village for detection and observation of the whole village and the surroundings near the border.
And now we wait.

I was keeping on eye on the whole situation while playing chess on my phone.
Wait, you thought we were technologically ancient? nah bro, we are way more advanced actually. The devices are taken only for disciples. The masters can use phones, though they don't but who am I if not a adapting and modern human that thrives on technology and now you throw logical magic into the mix, we get the greatest and most powerful device in the world. Literally, you can hack into anything with this(magic). It acts as a transformable weapon, and a sling ring, insane right? Made it myself. *proud look with the nose too high*

Alarm bells went off in my head and the phone screen flashed red as every disciple that was waiting in their position also got alerted. I saw the 10 flying creatures come into the dome.
Grotesque and slimy creatures with long wings and long limbs. Its teeth crowded the whole interior of its mouth and it looked like a purple hued red creature that was upto cruel stuff as the face looked like a perpetual sneer.
"Wait. Let us see who they are here for. We will follow them to their base". I commanded.
The creatures moved silently through the silence of the night approaching a house. It was a moderately small house with a single bedroom and kitchen. They moved stealthily to the bedroom window. Hell Nah man.
I fucking teleported there, not literally but with my magically boosted physique, I shot through the village dodging the houses and reached them before they could touch the window. With my presence hidden no one noticed me so I killed 2 creatures closest to the ground in one slash with my naginata, and then I pushed off of the wall of the house and slashed 3 more while the 4th in the path dodged. Others prepared a breath blast towards me as their mouths opened to reveal a red ball of light in between the mouth covered inside with teeth. I immediately opened the mirror dimension while dodging the attacks and then manipulated the ground to move closer to them while making platforms for myself to have mobility in air. Then with another 3 slashes I took down the rest and got out of the mirror dimension.
"This is why someone without any missions does not become the master"
"He ruined the whole mission. Now how the hell are we supposed investigate as the enemy knows about us they will flee"
"Sigh, muscle head master, this shows how strength isn't the only trait for a master, must be a lesson from Ancient One fore us"
What the fuck? I heard them say this shit in private channels of comms, but me being me had a back door in all of them and was able to hear the whole conversation. What did I do wrong? I saved 2 lives, do they not care.
Ahh.... Must be this place is one the greater good hypocrites.

"Welp, lets head back guys and keep the dome as it is, we will monitor in case the enemy reappears", I said to all chat in the comms, which was followed by portal opening by all of them to go to Kamar-Taj.
I reported it all to the Ancient One who took it all in with a smile. Its so fucking annoying when it is always that freaking Zen expression she cannot even see the future cause of me anymore. Freaking old hag.
"Thank you, please go ahead and meet Master Estrex now"
Aahhh, failed mission, he will ask me get lost, won't he?
