Failure followed failure. The miniature barrier cores for testing repeatedly overloaded and shattered; carefully selected conductive materials crumbled under the wash of natural energy. Yet Sayo's gaze never wavered. He recalculated, adjusted runic structures, and used Magnet Release for microscopic precision machining.
Finally, on a silent midnight, as he fitted the last fingernail-sized shard of God Tree into the silver-grey metal casing, the entire device quivered. The arcane Dial scales lit with an almost imperceptible milky glow, then slowly faded, leaving it looking as plain as an ordinary wristwatch.

Suppressing his excitement, Sayo carefully strapped the device to his left wrist. The instant the case touched his skin, an extremely faint yet pure and gentle stream of energy began to flow continuously into his body.
This was the Pocket Body Cultivation Furnace.
It perfectly realized Sayo's vision: integrating the core functions of a large-scale furnace into a wristwatch-sized device. "Chūnin Sayo," the Anbu said calmly, handing over an official appointment scroll, "by order of the Fourth Kazekage: in view of your outstanding performance—including withdrawing from Uchiha elites and repelling the Ino–Shika–Chō trio—the Council of Elders has resolved to promote you to Special Jōnin, effective immediately!"
Sayo accepted the scroll. The promotion itself was no surprise; his strength had long surpassed an ordinary Chūnin. Yet the title represented weighty recognition of his tactical response, medical support, and special combat power.
"By the Kazekage's command!" Sayo answered in a deep voice.
After the Anbu left, Sayo looked at the scroll, then at the watch on his wrist. Promotion was an affirmation of the past; the pocket furnace was the key to his future. As a Special Jōnin, he would set out once more, his steps steadier and stronger than ever before.
