Azura's POV
Nobody moved at first.
We all just stood there looking at the two men by the door. The room had gone completely quiet after my words landed, and nobody had picked them up yet. They just sat in the air between all of us like something fragile that nobody wanted to be the first to touch.
Leo and Ethan.
I looked at them. Really looked. Trying to find something in their faces that matched the boys I remembered. The small hands. Leo's laugh. Ethan's quietness. Anything.
There was nothing there. Just two large, still bodies with empty eyes standing in front of the only door out of this room.
Torin's voice broke the silence.
"Don't tell me we went through all that for these two grown-ass men?" he said, laughing, hoping that I would say it's a joke.
But nothing came
"Remember when you guys said you saw footprints of a child and a grown man in a particular track?" Liona said, looking at Torin.
"Are you saying that one of them owned it?" Torin looked at Liona and me.
