Severin gazed down at his lap, smiling subtly as Lynsandra rested her head there. Her eyes were closed, taking a moment to rest. His hands rested on either side of him as he reclined slightly, gazing up at the beautiful sky filled with stars.
Lynsandra had no idea that he tried.
He tried to wait for her, to hold on to her promise that she would come back. He thought he could wait, but alas, he couldn't.
Not when she had made his dull life just a little more colorful, that the usual silence in his home became unbearable. So deafening that he couldn't stand living there anymore. So, he made the decision to try the forced slumber.
But to no avail.
It failed.
Did Severin still want to die? Absolutely.
However, he didn't wish to leave now.
When she returned, he had already planned to go wherever she went. He wasn't asking for much; he didn't even want to get in her way. All he wanted was to be around her, to see her, to make sure she was safe.
