After that breakfast, Cassian felt like he was simply drifting without any proper destination.
He usually stayed home so he could be there for Lynsandra whenever she woke up or whenever she arrived home.
Cassian had always thought that if he were the first person she saw every morning or every time she returned home, she might realize what it would feel like to come home to him.
But now… all of that had shattered.
"Cassian? Cassian…?"
Cassian blinked and looked up, seeing Ryan, his manager, standing before him. Ryan was leaning slightly forward since Cassian was seated on the couch in his office.
"Huh?" Cassian furrowed his brows as he looked around, realizing he had somehow ended up in his manager's office. "What am I doing here?"
"What do you mean?" Ryan straightened and walked away. "What do you want? The usual?"
Cassian didn't answer as he watched his manager walk toward the desk, pressing the telecom to order his usual coffee and another drink for him.
