It was not love, but the way Lynsandra hurried over after just a call told Julian a lot of things. It also answered the thing he couldn't articulate while conversing with her earlier.
Seated outside a ward, Julian stared at the closed door where she was. A shallow breath escaped him before he pulled out his phone and speed-dialed someone.
"Cancel my appointment," he said the moment the line connected. "Tell them some emergency came up."
"Yes, sir."
With that, he hung up and leaned back on the bench.

"He's already out of harm's way," said August, standing near where she sat. "However, since the silver in him took time to be removed, it will take time, Luna."
