The corridor didn't resist them, and that alone felt wrong. Aurelion noticed it immediately as they moved forward, each step landing too cleanly, too easily. There was no shifting beneath their feet, no subtle pressure pressing against them like before, no sense of the environment testing their presence. It wasn't that the force had disappeared, though. It had simply changed its role. What once resisted now guided, what once obstructed now directed. The control hadn't weakened.
