[ELARA'S POV]
Thirty-seven weeks and Marcus showed up at our door with a woman.
Not just any woman. Rebecca. His girlfriend. The nurse who'd helped when Julian was dying.
"We're going to dinner." Marcus announced. "The four of us. Double date."
I looked down at my massive stomach. Then back at him. "I'm nine months pregnant."
"So? You can still eat." He was already helping Rebecca take off her coat. "Reservations are at seven. Italian place. They have good bread."
"He told me you love carbs right now." Rebecca smiled. She was pretty. Dark hair. Warm eyes. Completely comfortable despite Marcus's awkward energy. "And that you've been craving pasta for weeks."
"Traitor." I looked at Marcus. "You're sharing my food cravings?"
"You texted me at two am last week asking where to get good carbonara." He said it flat. "That's not a secret."
Damian appeared from his office. Took in the scene. Grinned. "Double date?"
