Chapter 86 - Chapter 86: The Akatsuki Arrives

The sky wasn't very clear, as if it were about to rain. Kano changed into a set of black clothes today: a pure black bodycon skirt and black high heels on bare feet. This was the color she wore the least in her life.

Except for her mother Yoshino, the three of them—Kano, Shikaku, and Shikamaru—were all dressed in black. The family of three separated halfway, each going to accompany their own teammates.

Meeting up with Naruto first, Naruto was listless.

She wanted to comfort him but didn't know what to say at this time. Kano's heart didn't actually fluctuate much; she had known the outcome long ago, and such an outcome was more beneficial to Konoha.

After Sasuke arrived, the three went together to pay their respects to the Third Hokage and the other victims.

Many people came to the Memorial Service, though some went elsewhere to mourn fallen friends. Like Kakashi.

Everyone was silent along the way, this sorrowful emotion suppressed in their hearts. Rain fell from the sky, wetting their cheeks; let's treat it as tears.

Only children couldn't help but cry out loud. Kano patted Konohamaru's head; she wasn't good at comforting people, but she knew it would be better to let it out.

"You'll feel better if you cry it out. You too, Naruto."

"I won't..."

Naruto gritted his teeth and held on. He didn't want Luna-chan to see his pathetic side, nor did he want the Hokage Grandpa to see his cowardly side.

After offering flowers, Kano went to the edge of the Hokage Building's rooftop and took out her flute.

The sound of the flute stepped on the raindrops, drifting in all directions of Konoha Village. Warm pearly tears slid down the cheeks of every grieving person.

Yūgao, who was offering flowers to Hayate at the memorial monument, heard this sorrowful Pearl Tear Melody. The grievances and heartache in her heart could no longer be suppressed, and large tears rolled down.

She cried, crying very loudly.

Not just here, the sound of crying echoed throughout Konoha.

The sound of rain accompanied the flute, mixed with the sound of weeping.

After the song ended, more than half the people were crying; only a few truly iron-blooded tough guys held back.

Iruka, sobbing uncontrollably, came to Kano's side and gently patted her small head, struggling to hold back his sobs:

"Don't play such a fitting song."

The rain gradually stopped, and the clouds gradually dispersed.

Clouds only dissipate after it rains; tears only stop being stifled after they flow.

"Now that we've cried, everyone needs to cheer up. The Third Hokage-sama didn't sacrifice himself for nothing. He left something important for us. Well, one day you'll understand too."

Although Kano didn't want to think about such hellish things at this time, she still had an instant urge to complain:

The Third Hokage left all the important things to me! For example, that precious peeping crystal ball.

The funeral ended, and everyone went home.

Kano was also going to meet up with Naruto and the others. Just then, someone arrived late.
