Chapter 93 - TSWH: Chapter 93

Then, he let Dangre and the other three stay at the base. The four Nen users secretly re-entered the country, heading towards the Jagged Mountains.

A week later, the four-man team led by Oboro stood at the foot of the vast and magnificent mountains.

Looking around, there were steep rocks and lush forests. However, on the ground behind them, there were piles of bones...

They were corpse that had already weathered. There were wild animals... And there were also people.

In just a few days, the battlefield had expanded again... The small town they had stayed in before had now become a barren burial ground, and still had traces of the aftermath of the war, with devastation everywhere. They didn't see any more East Gorteau troops along the way...

"Stick close to me, and don't break away from the formation... Once you discover any parasites, hide your aura first, so as not to be discovered... Although these dead things have been given Nen, they're all controlled by bugs. This thing doesn't have a complete mind, and its perception is relatively weak..." Oboro said this mainly to Kaki and Lance.

"We're here for the Gyudondond Tribe. Once our aura is leaked... Because of some kind of rule, we'll be targeted."

"Understood."

The two nodded.

Immediately, the four turned into black shadows at the same time, and disappeared from the spot.

In the treetops high in the mountains, Oboro took the lead, rapidly shuttling through patches of tree canopy.

Hisoka was behind him, and Kaki and Lance were on the left and right, keeping the distance within ten meters.

Oboro and Hisoka were intentionally slowing down, otherwise it would be difficult for Kaki and Lance to keep up with their level.

"Did you make a mark?"

Oboro looked at Kaki.

"I did."

Kaki landed on a tree trunk, nodding, and pressed one hand on a piece of bark.

As Nen was activated, the bark cracked open, turning into an eye, and then closed again.

This was Kaki's Nen ability, 'Patch'!

He could create his own sensory system on some objects, but the number and range were limited. However, it could be used well for surveillance and reconnaissance.

Seeing this, Oboro nodded, and the team continued to move forward.

Compared to the ground, using the treetops in the high sky as footholds was undoubtedly safer...

In a moment, they reached the edge of the forest. In front of them was a flat land.

The area of the Jagged Mountains was vast, and there were all kinds of landforms...

Once they lost the cover of vegetation, their figures would be completely exposed to the sunlight, and it would be easy for them to be discovered.

Oboro stood in the shadow of the trees, and stretched out a hand, telling the three not to act rashly.

He lifted his eyelids, and from the gap in the trees above his head, he could see a few birds circling in the air... The attitude of these birds was a little strange.

The action of flapping their wings had a clear sense of pause, and it seemed that they could fall out of control and land at any time, as if they were broken toys.

But they were still maintaining the most basic flight path...

"There are some parasites nearby, but the number isn't large... There's no phenomenon of swarm."

Oboro turned his head to look at Kaki. The latter used his Nen ability, closed his eyes, and opened them, and said softly.

"These few birds should be the line of defense set up by the Gyudondond Tribe... All the bugs have the same origin, so there must be some kind of induction between them. Once we show our faces, they'll know."

Oboro explained.

Then he looked at Lance, "Go lure them away."

Hearing this, Lance stepped out of the forest, and then burst out his aura, exerted force in his legs, trampled a deep pit in the soil, and flew away like a cannonball.

The birds in the high sky immediately discovered him, and chirped strangely, and swooped down towards him.

Lance's Nen ability was 'Time Trade'.

To put it bluntly, it meant that he, from the current timeline, could borrow the aura or physical attributes of 'his future self', causing his own strength to temporarily surge.

After each time he activated his Nen ability, he would become weak when he reached the 'time period that had been borrowed'.

The time conversion between the present and the future was three to one.

It was a means to maximize his potential in a crisis.

Similarly, the disadvantages were also obvious.

After a while, after confirming that there were no other disturbances, Oboro and Hisoka continued to speed across the surface...

After passing this flat ground, there was a towering cliff in front of them. They had come to a dead end. With the abilities of the three, they could easily climb to the top of the cliff.

However, on that cliff top, there were hundreds of parasites standing... The Gyudondond Tribe had used the parasites to create a physical walls, to protect their residence!

This also meant that... They weren't far from the Gyudondond Tribe's lair.

"Stand back!" Oboro said coldly.

Kaki stepped back very understandingly... Leaving space for the two in front of him.

"Want to have a contest?" Hisoka glanced sideways at Oboro.

He was looking for fun... In Kaki's view, the agitated Nen aura on the two's bodies was like two surging flames...

Even the grass under their feet was affected by the Nen aura, and ripples rippled out in circles with the two as the center.

Oboro didn't say anything, squatted down and jumped up, instantly jump up dozens of meters.

After jumping a few times on the stone surface of the cliff wall, he flipped to the top of the cliff, and broke into a group of parasites.

He opened and closed his hands and feet, his moves were fierce... In the riot horde of wild things, blood and minced meat began to splash.

"Heh..."

Seeing this, Hisoka chuckled.

He also jumped onto the cliff top, and the playing cards in his hand coordinated with his figure, like a dancer performing to his heart's content in the slaughter...

He was very elegant, but he had the same bloody and brutal feeling as Captain Oboro.

Oboro was purely destroying. The power of his fists and feet was incredibly amazing.

And Hisoka was cutting... Dissecting!

Standing below, Kaki's throat rolled... He had encountered a group of parasites head-on.

Especially after learning about these parasites, he couldn't help but feel uneasy and oppressed in his heart...

It should be known that these beasts were still a threat even if they fell.

Moreover, there was also the blessing of Nen. Although there weren't any Nen techniques, and the aura wasn't thick... But there were too many of them!

However, neither Oboro nor Hisoka's minds seemed to be shaken in the slightest.

In less than a quarter of an hour, hundreds of parasites had completely become a pile of filth on the ground, and even the bugs in their bodies had been dealt with... Cleanly.

It was too fast... This kind of method made Kaki, who had witnessed everything, feel sincerely shocked, and also feel awe...

"You killed a few more than me. You're cheating... We agreed to attack together..."

In the bloodbath, Hisoka and Oboro's clothes were covered in blood and minced meat. The former said blame with a complaining tone.

Oboro glanced at him, and went forward on his own. Seeing the two of them walk away, Kaki immediately climbed up the cliff, and followed.

The three had been exposed. In the following journey, parasites constantly appeared, and ambushed or besieged them...

But with Oboro and Hisoka around, this kind of method could only cause some trouble for the team, and wasn't a threat.

The number of creatures in the Jagged Mountains was limited. Even if the speed of the bugs splitting and parasitizing was fast...

During this time, the number of deaths of wild things would cause a certain reduction in the total number of species in the entire mountain range.

Moreover, as the battlefield expanded and shifted, Oboro guessed that some of the surviving members of the Gyudondond Tribe would have to follow the front line that was fighting with the military, and move together, sacrificing themselves at any time...

Therefore, the parasites remaining in the Gyudondond Tribe's residence only retained a certain base number, acting as 'guards'.

As long as they were sure to drive the army out of the mountains, and not be capture by the military at their doorstep.

The Gyudondond Tribe's goal was the king... With a guarantee of safety, they would inevitably attack with all their might, in order to win the ritual.

They would never have expected that there would be foreign Nen users who would participate... And even touched it the mountain.

A few hours later, the sun set.

Oboro and Hisoka had gone through countless battles and slaughter, and were no longer human-like, covered in dirt.

Their clothes were covered in blood... And there were hanging with bits of meat, emitting a stench.

Compared to the two, Kaki was even worse...

It was impossible for him to hide behind the two all the time. He also had to slaughter the parasites...

But during this afternoon, even with Oboro and Hisoka protecting him, and killing most of the beasts, he still needed to do the rest of the parasites himself...

Wave after wave, he had lost count of how many he had killed... He only felt sore all over, and his aura had been almost completely exhausted.

Now, if there was even a little noise nearby, he would have the illusion that everything was an enemy.

His body and spirit were seriously overdrawn, and his face was pale.

A few dozen meters ahead, a blue lake appeared, shimmering... The scenery was very beautiful.

This should be one of the water sources in the Jagged Mountains. If there was a water source...

It meant that this area was suitable for survival, and it wasn't far from the Gyudondond Tribe's residence.

The three walked to the shore. Kaki was thirsty, and was about to kneel down and cup the water with both hands to simply wash himself, but he was stopped by Oboro.

On a shore not far away, there were a few figures approaching.

Their faces were sluggish, and their movements were twisted. They were like toys that were being controlled and had malfunctioning circuits...

They were exactly the same as zombies, except that their flesh and blood were relatively intact, and they were still alive. They hadn't died, but they had simply lost their autonomy.

Among them was Lance... The team member in the black suit had clearly been parasitized by the bugs...

Oboro and the other two had taken a step forward first. They had thought that after Lance had gotten rid of those few birds, he would be able to follow the trail and catch up, but they had never waited for him.

No wonder... There were a total of six human parasites... Unlike the soldiers from the military before, these two were all Nen users without exception... They originally had Nen.

And behind the six, stood a Gyudondond Tribesman, also with waist-length braids, wearing a white robe, and with tattoo-like totems on his face.

The Gyudondond Tribe's man was saying something to Oboro and the others, but because of the different language, they didn't understand.

However, they could sense that the other party's tone was very angry... And had killing intent.

"Want to have another contest?" Hisoka smiled.

Having traveled here all the way, this guy seemed to have been counting the number of parasites he had killed... He was determined to compete with Oboro.

"I have four, you have two."

Oboro walked past him expressionlessly, and went up to meet them.

His tone was very ridicule.

He seemed to look down on Hisoka... "They're all mine! Hahahahahaha!"

This time, Hisoka had learned to be evil, and wasn't taken advantage of by Oboro. His figure burst out, and his speed was amazing.

Immediately, a gust of wind was stirred up beside Oboro. That excited, deranged face, combined with the evil laughter, seemed particularly morbid.

The six parasitized Nen users were like beasts that wanted to devour Hisoka. They rushed out from in front of the Gyudondond Tribesman at the same time.

The six streams of Nen that erupted made their speed seem no weaker than Hisoka's.
