Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: The Avengers Gather

Hearing Thor's words, Tony and Dr. Banner exchanged glances, their expressions growing a few shades more serious.

"Looks like we need to step up our efforts!"

"Oh, by the way, where's Spider-Sister?"

"She should still be resting. After all those tests last night, she wasn't exactly having an easy time."

As the two of them busied themselves again, Luka, on the other hand, fell into deep thought.

'Nine Realms in chaos? This seems like a plot point from the original movie?'

Luka recalled that in the original story, the destruction of the Bifrost Bridge had led to rebellions breaking out across the Nine Realms.

After all, Asgard's rule over the Nine Realms was, to put it plainly, forcefully achieved through its military might.

However, in the original version, since Thor retrieved the Tesseract in Avengers One, the Bifrost Bridge would be repaired within a few months.

And with Asgard once again possessing the Bifrost Bridge, and the prince himself leading the troops, the rebellion was easily suppressed.

'Looking at it this way, this is just a pre-determined plot happening; it shouldn't affect Earth yet.'

Thinking this, Luka breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Although without the Tesseract, the war in Asgard might last longer.

However, that just meant more aliens dying, and it had nothing to do with Luka.

Besides.

Thor, the prince of Asgard, unable to return to Asgard, would have more time to spend with his girlfriend, Jane Foster.

'Hmm, he's not at a loss either ~'

Just as Luka was pondering these random thoughts, Tony Stark, seeing him spacing out, immediately called out.

"Hey, Skywalker, stop daydreaming! Come here and help!"

Luka heard him, pointed at himself in confusion, but then looked at his mechanical right arm and immediately realized why this scoundrel had given him yet another nickname.

He walked over with a face full of black lines.

"You wait, one day I'll make a lightsaber and show you what a true Luke Skywalker is!"

"Tsk, a lightsaber is only strong with the Force. Your Uncle Tony can make a regular version of a lightsaber!"

Ten minutes later.

"Go, go, go! You little brat, stop messing around here! You really should go back to school and re-learn quantum physics and astrophysics!"

Tony, whose train of thought had once again been derailed by Luka, unceremoniously shooed Luka away from the holographic projection.

A somewhat indignant Luka muttered under his breath.

"I'm only just about to start ninth grade this year; right now, I only have a middle school diploma!"

There was nothing he could do. The Gundam 00 World didn't have spatial teleportation, and Harro's knowledge base simply lacked information on that front.

Just relying on publicly available online knowledge to participate in the work of these two big shots, Luka wasn't even an afterthought.

Unable to help, Luka could only obediently go back and continue making his mechanical warriors.

Time flew by.

Another three days passed in a blink of an eye.

During these three days, the major event that seemed to be on the verge of breaking out seemed to have mysteriously vanished.

S.H.I.E.L.D., just as Luka had predicted, busied themselves for half a day but found absolutely nothing.

Even Tony Stark and Dr. Banner's constantly upgraded and improved spatial perception equipment seemed to be broken, showing no more fluctuations.

It was as if everything had returned to peace.

The World was at peace.

Everyone could happily go back to work?

However, the truth was, the more bizarre the atmosphere, the more an uncontrollable sense of oppression was felt.

Tony, who had slept less than three hours in four consecutive days, now had deeply sunken eyes and dark circles as prominent as a Halloween Vampire.

The only good news was that through various detection methods,

Tony and Banner finally detected fluctuations caused by time travel on Gwen.

However, the bad news was that this kind of fluctuation seemed to possess 'uniqueness'.

Or rather, the fluctuations on people from different Worlds possessed 'uniqueness'.

Because just one day ago, based on these fluctuations, S.H.I.E.L.D. caught an interdimensional villain nicknamed 'Rhino' in New Jersey.

But after Gwen's confirmation, this Rhino was from the same World as her.

However, according to what the interrogated villain said, he had arrived in this World two days ago.

This meant that although the spatial fluctuations had disappeared, the interdimensional visitors had not stopped 'invading'; it was just that Tony and Dr. Banner could no longer detect them.

During this time, who knows how many interdimensional visitors might have arrived and hidden themselves among the populace.

Hmm, another piece of news, which wasn't clear if it was good or bad, was that

Over these three days, Gwen had not experienced any phenomenon of being rejected by this World.

This meant that she might not be rejected and die no matter how long she stayed in this World.

However, while this was marginally good news for Gwen, it was not so pleasant for the people of this World.

It was noon again.

Tony and Banner were still searching for a solution to the problem, while Gwen, having lost her status as a 'research subject' and being idle, was helping Luka perfect his robot.

Thor, even more idle, could only pace back and forth in the room, annoying everyone.

But it was at this moment that a sudden engine roar came from outside on the rooftop.

Everyone looked up; something invisible in the sky seemed to be approaching rapidly.

At the same time, Jarvis's voice alert also sounded.

"Sir, a cloaked Quinjet is approaching. They are requesting landing guidance."

Hearing Jarvis's words, a figure of a bald black man immediately appeared in Tony's mind.

Sure enough, as the plane landed on the building's rooftop platform, the one who walked out to greet them was none other than Nick Fury, the one-eyed man.

In fact, it wasn't just Nick Fury; Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow all followed him out.

However, Tony didn't look at the other Avengers members; he only stared at Nick Fury in front of him.

"I don't recall inviting you to my tower?!"

Ignoring Tony's sour face, Nick Fury casually pointed behind him and said loudly.

"I brought you two people who might be helpful for your progress later."

"No need! In this World…"

Just as Tony was about to refuse, an old man with a receding hairline quickly walked out of the plane, followed by a good-looking young woman.

"Erik? Jane!"

Before Tony could finish speaking, Thor, from behind, had already rushed forward and hugged the woman.

The old man with the receding hairline awkwardly retracted his outstretched arms.

Nick Fury shrugged at the others.

"These two are excellent astrophysicists. Regarding space, I imagine they will be helpful to you…"

However, he had only spoken halfway when Dr. Banner, with a constipated expression, stepped forward and directly interrupted him.

"While I appreciate you bringing them over…."

"But, everyone, don't you feel like the weather here is getting a bit cold?!"

As he spoke, Dr. Banner looked up; even though it was still summer, a few scattered snowflakes were slowly drifting down from the sky.
