Chapter 116 - Chapter 116: Shocking Entrance!

"Whoosh~"

A crimson laser streaked past her ear.

Immediately after, a violent explosion sounded behind her.

Although Gwen had managed to dodge the laser gun's sneak attack thanks to her Spider-Sense, she couldn't evade the impact of the debris from the explosion.

Feeling a burning pain in her back, she wondered how many tiny fragments of rock had embedded themselves in her body.

However, Gwen had no time to deal with that now. Enduring the sharp pain, she immediately rolled on the ground.

After dodging the next attack, she instantly raised her hand and shot out two streams of web fluid, sticking two Dark Elves who were running towards Jane Foster onto the wall.

However, her action of prioritizing the protection of others made her own situation even more difficult.

Fortunately, Tony had already regained his ability to act and was fighting alongside Gwen.

Seeing that the two Dark Elves were about to fire again, Tony directly raised his arms, and two repulsor blasts instantly sent them all flying.

However, with their current attack frequency, facing an increasing number of enemies was like trying to put out a forest fire with a cup of water.

When Tony noticed a red-glowing grenade thrown at Gwen's feet, he didn't even have time to think before flying over and tackling her.

"Look out!!"

Just as the grenade was about to explode, all the thrusters on the Mark Armor activated, forcefully pulling Gwen behind a distant cover.

Looking back at the "explosion" center, which was like a miniature black hole, devouring and compressing everything around it until it vanished.

Both Gwen and Tony broke out in a cold sweat.

They had both witnessed the power of these black hole grenades before; no matter how sturdy an object was, if it was within the explosion's range, it would be completely devoured.

After each explosion, a perfectly semicircular crater would be left on the ground.

If it weren't for the terrifying, suffocating danger warning given by her Spider-Sense after the first black hole grenade was thrown, allowing Gwen to dodge in time, it's likely they would have vanished without a trace, like the debris cleared by the grenades.

But even so, both of them were already close to exhaustion.

Gwen was already injured all over. Even with her astonishing physical constitution, she hadn't reached the point where she could fully recover from near-fatal injuries in just a few days.

As for Tony, his energy was already low after his previous battle with the Frost Giant.

Plus, the secondary damage caused by the Cursed Warrior's punch, which sent him crashing through countless objects along the way.

The series of armor damage warnings that obscured his vision had long been manually shut down by him.

At this moment, Tony didn't know how many parts of his armor were still functional, or how much longer he and Gwen could hold on.

"Spider-Sister, you go ahead and catch up with the two Dr.s to protect them. Tony Uncle can handle these Dark Elves here!"

Seeing the increasing number of Dark Elves surrounding them, Tony decisively prepared to stay behind and cover their retreat.

In fact, if Tony hadn't been unable to recover his combat strength earlier, and then his main leg thrusters were severely damaged, making a slow ascent into the air just a sitting duck, Gwen wouldn't have been trapped here all this time.

Now, Tony naturally didn't want to continue dragging them down.

However, hearing Tony's words, Gwen showed a bitter smile.

"Mr. Stark, my web fluid is empty…"

Saying that, she raised her palm and held it out in front of Stark, letting him look at the web-shooter, which wasn't transparent at all.

Instantly, silence fell behind the cover.

The next moment, a series of booming sounds came from outside the cover, and even the ground seemed to tremble along with the intense noise.

They both looked over at the sound.

Behind the Dark Elves, two pitch-black, small Razor Fighters were inserting one side of their fuselage into the ground, standing upright, and rapidly cutting towards their direction.

The huge roaring sound was caused by the impact of the razor-sharp fuselage plowing through the ground.

Clearly, the Dark Elves on the ground had grown impatient with their prolonged struggle against these "bugs" and had called for air support, preparing to destroy all the surrounding cover.

Are they going to die?

This thought simultaneously appeared in both Tony and Gwen's minds.

But!

Just before these two Razor Fighters were about to cut through their cover!

Another booming sound, previously masked by the ground-cutting noise, grew louder as it approached.

In Tony and Gwen's line of sight, they saw a single, giant iron ball, seven or eight meters tall, gaudy, colorful, as if scrap metal had been forcibly welded together.

It was now rolling rapidly from a distance at a speed completely incomprehensible to ordinary people.

Amidst the roaring sound of metal constantly impacting the ground,

The giant metal ball swiftly rolled over the Dark Elf soldiers in its path.

Dark blood and flesh splattered over the outside of the metal ball, then were flung away by its terrifying rolling speed.

As the metal ball rapidly approached, it seemed to show no signs of slowing down.

It strangely leaped into the air.

Like a meteorite falling from the sky, it crashed heavily onto the fuselage of the Razor Fighter on the left.

"Crack—"

A crisp, pleasant sound of metal breaking.

The metal ball, which seemed to be haphazardly pieced together from scrap steel, showed no damage whatsoever.

Instead, the Razor Fighter, which had previously been relentlessly crashing and cutting through steel and concrete buildings with its own hardness, was instantly shattered into pieces by this terrifying impact.

The huge impact sound caused the machine fragments to scatter and explode.

The fire from the Razor Fighter's explosion completely engulfed the seven or eight-meter-tall giant metal ball.

However, within that blaze, the super-large junk ball also seemed to be breaking apart... No, not breaking apart, but the metal ball actively unfolding!

The iron ball, originally made of stacked scraps, transformed in mid-air into a giant mech, over ten meters tall.

Although the overall style of the mech still resembled assembled scrap parts, in the firelight, it was as if a God had descended, directly stomping on the remaining Razor Fighter on the right.

"Crack—"

Another familiar and beautiful sound of metal breaking.

The second fighter was also directly broken in half.

Amidst the fire and explosions, Tony and Gwen, one large and one small, watched in stunned silence as the scrap mech made a magnificent entrance, effortlessly dealing with the two alien fighters.

Then, with an extremely standard "superhero landing" pose, it appeared before them in a shocking display.

The next moment, from amidst the smoke and fire, a young voice, very familiar to both of them, was heard.

"Hey~ Does someone here need help?"
