Half a year had passed since Aizen's last visit to Hueco Mundo and his epic battle with Yekawa.
Originally, after taking control of Hueco Mundo, Yekawa had thought that he and his subordinates would never return to this underground palace.
But to his surprise, his battle with Aizen had reduced the entire Hueco Mundo to dust.
Now, a new Hueco Mundo was under construction, so he had no choice but to lead his subordinates back to the Great Hollow Home.
In the Main Underground Palace Hall, Yekawa sat grandly on the main seat, with five slightly smaller chairs arranged on either side of him.
At this moment, besides Yekawa and Starrk, who were still calmly seated, all the other Vasto Lorde, including the Adjuchas, curiously looked towards the center of the hall, at a massive gate seemingly made of white bones.
At the very top of that gate was embedded a nail-sized, dark-gold gem with a touch of purplish-black in the center—one of the twelve sub-hogyokus Yekawa had replicated.
This gate was developed by Szayelaporro and was named the Gate of Transcendence.
Its sole purpose was to carry the power of the sub-hogyoku and help the Arrancar transformation of the Hollows under Yekawa.
At this moment, all the Hollows were intently staring at the massive gate supported by white bones, which now rippled with dense spirit particles like water waves. A strange, spiky fish was currently undergoing the baptism of spirit particles within the gate.
It was Barnes, the strange fish who had first followed Yekawa. He had volunteered to be the test subject, requesting to be the first Hollow to undergo Arrancar transformation using the Gate of Transcendence.
The reason was simple: as one of the first veterans to follow Yekawa, his current strength was of minimal help to Yekawa. Therefore, he urgently needed new power, so when Yekawa proposed the need for a companion to test the gate with their own body, he agreed without hesitation.
At this moment, the vast underground palace was incredibly quiet; even breathing could be heard clearly. This heavy breathing came from Barnes, not because the Arrancar transformation process was too painful, but because he felt a bit embarrassed being stared at by all the Hollows.

Just a few minutes later, a human hand burst out of the cocoon. Following it, a seemingly eleven or twelve-year-old boy with dark blue, chubby-looking hair, holding a trident-like object, walked out completely naked.
If not for the remnants of a mask on his head and the clear Hollow hole on his chest, anyone would have thought he was just a chubby little boy.
"Are you Jiwa Barnes?"
Yekawa, seated on his throne, nodded slightly. The ugly fish Barnes, who had always followed him, had transformed into such a cute, chubby boy after his Arrancar transformation, which was truly a stark contrast.

Barnes, now a small boy, replied in a tender voice.

Yekawa's voice echoed in every corner of the Main Underground Palace Hall.
"We obey Your Majesty's command!"
All the Hollows, including the Vasto Lorde, bowed and assented.
"Um, next… is it my turn to undergo Arrancar transformation?"
A muffled voice rang out from among the Hollows.
It was Red Mountain Goat, Perke. As an entity who joined Yekawa's ranks at the same time as Jiwa Barnes, seeing Barnes successfully undergo Arrancar transformation naturally made him eager.
"Good, then you're next, Puck!"
Yekawa chuckled. After receiving Yekawa's approval, Hong Shan Yang immediately used Sonido to rush towards the Gate of Transcendence. The red-haired strong man knelt on one knee to salute Yekawa, who waved his hand, signaling him to quickly go get his uniform.

After two Adjuchas finished their Arrancar transformation, Yekawa noticed that the sub-hogyoku on the Gate of Transcendence seemed to have lost about five percent of its energy, and the sub-hogyoku itself was slowly absorbing surrounding spirit particles to replenish its energy.
