Chapter 119 - Chapter 119: God's Concerns

Kannazuki of Shindai has now been successfully created.

Uzumaki Kushina inquired, "So your puppet is also complete? Are you ready to meet up with Kakashi and the others?"

The thought of his peaceful life in Konoha coming to an end and heading to the battlefield for life-and-death struggles made Shindai extremely unwilling. So he perfunctorily said, "I've been working so hard for so long, I deserve a few days of rest, right? Anyway, Kakashi and their missions usually don't directly involve combat, and Kakashi and Obito are both quite strong now, plus Rin is backing them up. It's the same whether I'm there or not, so I'll go after I've rested enough."

Uzumaki Kushina pursed her lips and said, "Minato really guessed it right, and exactly right."

Shindai asked curiously, "Huh? What do you mean?"

Uzumaki Kushina explained, "Before Minato left for his mission, he told me that after your puppet is done, you'll likely be unwilling to leave and will find all sorts of excuses to stay in Konoha. So, Minato instructed me that once your puppet is ready, I should inform the Sandaime and force you to meet up with Kakashi and the others."

Shindai's expression gradually became incredulous: "Lord Minato is too unkind! How could he do such a thing! He's completely inhumane! This is too much!"

Uzumaki Kushina coughed and defended Minato Namikaze, "Hey, how can you say that? It's wartime now, and you are also a glorious Konoha Genin. Minato specifically spoke to the Sandaime on your behalf, which is why you can calmly do research at home.

Otherwise, during wartime, any Ninja must obey orders and go to the battlefield at any time. How could you be allowed to do research so comfortably? Moreover, Obito and the others have been waiting for you to return to the team. How can you bear to let them keep hoping to fight alongside you while you're avoiding it in Konoha?"

Shindai muttered softly, "What's so glorious about being a Genin? And I'm not really avoiding it, I just want to rest well. Alright, alright, I'll go then. Sister Kushina, what's the situation in the Ninja World now?"

About two months had passed since he last came to Konoha from the Land of Grass, and Shindai guessed that the situation must have changed.

Uzumaki Kushina said seriously, "The situation in the Ninja World is changing by the day. I heard that Minato has clashed with Ay of Hidden Cloud Village and the new Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, Killer Bee, several times in the Land of Rice Fields…"

Shindai asked in surprise, "Isn't Hidden Cloud Village locked in a fierce battle with Iwagakure? Why are they fighting with Lord Minato and his team again?"

Uzumaki Kushina shrugged, "Who knows? From what I've heard, it seems Hidden Cloud Village plundered a lot of Konoha's supplies, which is why Minato was sent there. Then, because the Kumogakure Ninja couldn't deal with Minato, Hidden Cloud Village had no choice but to send Ay and the Jinchuriki. However, Hidden Cloud Village has now almost withdrawn from this war."

Shindai asked blankly, "What happened? Why has Hidden Cloud Village almost withdrawn from this war?"

Uzumaki Kushina recounted, "The Third Raikage of Hidden Cloud Village died. I heard that the Third Raikage led a Ninja squad to launch a surprise attack on Iwagakure, but they were discovered by Iwagakure. The Third Raikage and his Ninja squad were ambushed by tens of thousands of Iwagakure Ninja.

To allow his companions to escape, the Third Raikage fought alone, drawing away the enemies. To buy his companions time to escape, he fought for three days and three nights until he died of exhaustion.

Because of this incident, Hidden Cloud Village's morale was severely damaged. They retaliated desperately out of revenge, fighting against Iwagakure. However, this kind of hatred-driven battle certainly couldn't last long. Soon after, the high-ranking officials of Hidden Cloud Village began to recall their Kumogakure Ninja from outside, seemingly preparing to withdraw from this war."

Shindai's mouth dropped open. He had thought the situation would change, but he never expected such a drastic change—the Third Raikage had actually died.

Shindai asked curiously, "By the way, were there really 10,000 Iwagakure Ninja?"

Uzumaki Kushina scoffed, "How could that be? That must be an exaggerated number. A few thousand Iwagakure Ninja would be impressive enough."

Uzumaki Kushina continued, "Iwagakure has also suffered a great loss because of this incident and has become much more restrained. I heard they no longer directly confront us on the battlefield, avoiding battles whenever possible. However, they are definitely recuperating and might attack Konoha at any time.

Currently, the most troublesome for us in Konoha are Hidden Sand Village and Hidden Mist Village. Originally, they were fighting in Cha no Kuni (Tea Country), but their skirmishes extended into our Land of Fire, forcing us Konoha Ninja to join their chaotic battle.

Based on predictions, this war might end in as little as one year."

Shindai pondered for a moment.

Indeed, as Uzumaki Kushina said, the war might end in a year.

Because Kakashi was about to turn 12.

When Kakashi turned 12, he would become a true Jonin. After becoming a Jonin, in the Kannabi Bridge battle, Kakashi would receive Obito's Sharingan. Afterward, Rin Nohara would become the Three-Tails Jinchuriki and return to Konoha intending to destroy Konoha, but she would be stopped by Kakashi.

Finally, Konoha seemed to be pushed to its doorstep, and after this battle was won, the Third Shinobi World War would pretty much end.

Shindai looked at Uzumaki Kushina oddly: "That's not right, Sister Kushina, you've been in Konoha all this time, how are you so clear about the situation?"

Uzumaki Kushina gave an awkward laugh: "You caught me! Minato sends me messages from time to time, and he tells me about the situation, so I know a bit."

"Alright."

Shindai's expression grew serious, and he felt no joy that the war might be ending, naturally because of Obito and the others.

Obito, Rin Nohara, and Kakashi were now his good friends.

Shindai deeply didn't want Obito to become the masked man who abandoned himself and lived in darkness; he preferred this silly, mischievous Obito.

Nor did he want the very kind Rin Nohara, who was so good to him, to become a sacrifice, a tool to push Obito into darkness.

Similarly, he didn't want Kakashi to be greatly traumatized by the successive losses of his comrades, Obito and Rin Nohara, suffering physical and mental torment.

As a good friend, Shindai didn't want them to suffer or fall into endless darkness.

In fact, if only Obito could be saved, then perhaps those tragic chain reactions wouldn't occur.

But… should he really change it?

Shindai wanted to change Pakura's future because Pakura was not important to the future.

However, Kakashi, Obito, and Rin Nohara were all extremely important.

What if the entire future changed?

One of Shindai's sources of security was his knowledge of the future.

Although these memories were gradually fading, he still understood the general direction.

If it changed, he would lose his sense of security.

Moreover, if the future developed in a good direction, that would be fine, but what if it developed in a worse direction?
