Stefan started to shake Alexis's shoulders slightly as she was standing like a statue for a passing long minute.
Although her eyes were open, directed at him, it felt like she was seeing something else through him. As if she has the farthest away from him right now, despite standing closest from anyone else in the party.
Alexis finally looked like she was out of her stupor, although her body was shivering a bit with all the anticipation and nervousness she was hit with.
Is this really happening to her?
Did she also feel this way years back?
The person standing before her used to be her force of living, her will to smile.
After that person left, naming these extreme feelings, seeing life with much more positiveness seemed to be a luxury.
And yet, she can't believe she would want to feel this way ever again.
