Chapter 32 - How Could You Know That?

‎Reina's voice broke through the silence.

"…Tell me the truth—what are you?"

It wasn't just a simple question.

It felt sharp.

Direct.

The kind of pressure that would make most people uncomfortable.

Anyone else would've hesitated—tried to defend themselves or explain something.

But Solaris—

Didn't react at all.

He gave no answer.

Didn't even look at her.

Because his attention had already shifted elsewhere.

Behind Reina's head—

Something faint floated silently in the air.

Ten semi-transparent stones.

At first glance, they were almost impossible to notice, like slight distortions blending naturally into the surroundings. They gave off no mana, no light, no sound.

Yet they moved in perfect synchronization behind her head—

Slowly orbiting in a calm circular pattern.

Solaris stared at them quietly.

Without blinking.

Then—

A faint flicker appeared beside Reina.

A semi-transparent system screen slowly materialized out of nowhere.

Visible only to Solaris.

‎Solaris read the screen once.

Then again.

His eyes suddenly stopped at a single line.

"…Attributes… None?"

The words left his mouth quietly.

He blinked slowly, still trying to process what he had just seen.

Because in his understanding—

"None" didn't mean weakness.

It didn't mean emptiness either.

It meant something completely different.

Something extremely rare.

For the first time since this conversation began—

Solaris showed genuine interest.

"…None…?" he repeated softly.

Then his eyes narrowed slightly.

"…You mean Zero…?"

The moment Hayami heard that word—

Her expression froze.

The playful atmosphere around her vanished instantly.

Her eyes sharpened with seriousness.

"What did you just say?" she asked quietly.

Confused.

Suspicious.

"How do you know that…?"

Her hand instinctively tightened around the handle of her sword.

But Solaris didn't even notice her reaction.

His attention remained completely fixed on Reina—

More specifically—

On the faint stones slowly rotating behind her.

Then without any warning—

Solaris stepped forward—

And suddenly grabbed Reina's hand.

‎---

‎His sudden shift in mood completely caught Reina off guard.

‎Her face turned bright red in an instant.

‎"W-What are you… d-doing…?" she stammered, her voice barely holding together.

‎Solaris, however—

‎Looked nothing like before.

‎His eyes sparkled.

‎Bright.

‎Focused.

‎Like someone who had just discovered something priceless.

‎Something rare beyond belief.

‎"You have… ZERO attributes…?" he said, almost in awe.

‎Then, recalling Hayami's words, he added—

‎"…And she called you a goddess…"

‎A small pause.

‎Then—

‎"…Yes. That makes sense."

‎His gaze deepened.

‎"Only a goddess could possibly possess a 'zero attribute' status."

‎Reina froze.

‎Then turned even redder.

‎Her eyes immediately shifted away to avoid his gaze.

‎"H-How can you just say something like that to someone's face?!" she mumbled, completely flustered. "You… you are…!"

‎Solaris answered without hesitation—

‎"A normal boy."

‎Reina blinked.

‎"…Huh?!"

‎"Yes," Solaris nodded seriously. "I'm just a normal boy."

‎And then—

‎Before anyone could react—

‎He suddenly brought his hands together in front of Reina.

‎Clap.

‎Closed his eyes.

‎And slightly bowed his head.

‎Like someone offering a prayer.

‎"Oohh… my goddess," he said sincerely,

‎"So please… make my life an ordinary one."

‎Silence.

‎Reina's brain stopped working.

‎Her face was now completely red.

‎"W-What—?! W-wait—wait!! Don't do that!!" she panicked, waving her hands frantically. "I promise I'm not a goddess!!"

‎Beside them—

‎Leonhart burst out laughing.

‎But unlike before—

‎There was no mockery in it.

‎No teasing.

‎It was warm.

‎Genuine.

‎Almost… proud.

‎"Hahaha…!" he laughed, wiping the corner of his eyes. "I've never seen Reina act like this with anyone before."

‎He glanced at her with a soft smile.

‎"So it's true… kids really do grow fast."

‎Reina immediately snapped her head toward him, still blushing.

‎"What are you trying to say?!" she shot back.

‎Then, slightly annoyed—

‎"And don't act like that old man!"

‎Leonhart raised his hands casually.

‎"Yeah, yeah…" he said with a faint chuckle.

‎🌟Explain :

‎Oblivient,"You might be wondering—why did Hayami react that way to Solaris?"

‎As you may remember, adventurers can use their Guild Badge to perform appraisals—even on other people. However, due to privacy restrictions, the system is designed to limit the information shown, preventing anyone from viewing an individual's complete status.

‎But in this situation—

‎Solaris doesn't even possess a Guild Badge.

‎So the question naturally arises:

‎How is he able to see—or rather, fully appraise—others?

‎If you recall Chapter 18: The Final Bloodline Collision Arc, there was a crucial moment that may have seemed insignificant at first glance.

‎During that event, in his Hakari Void form, Solaris did something unprecedented—

‎He grabbed and consumed his own system panel.

‎That moment marked a turning point.

‎From then on, Solaris didn't just interact with the system—

‎He copied it entirely.

‎Not a fragment.

‎Not a limited version.

‎But the system itself.

‎As a result—

‎Solaris now possesses complete control over it.

‎He can access information without restriction.

‎He can bypass all limitations.

‎And if he chooses—

‎He can even modify the system itself.

‎That is why—

‎Solaris can view the full, unrestricted status of anyone he observes.

‎To him, it is natural.

‎Effortless.

‎No different than simply looking at someone.

‎However—

‎From the perspective of others—

‎Nothing is happening.

‎They don't see a system panel.

‎They don't feel any activation.

‎They don't detect any mana usage.

‎To them—

‎Solaris is simply… staring.

‎Which leads to the real issue.

‎Even though Solaris appraised Reina—

‎From Hayami's perspective, that is impossible.

‎There is no visible method, no tool, no indication that such an action took place.

‎And yet—

‎identifying Reina's "Zero Attribute" status without any visible means…

‎Should be impossible."
