In the next second, whatever reason Arthur had left began to crumble.
His gaze filled with unmistakable desire as his crimson eyes met her golden ones.
He kissed her back even more fiercely, and for a moment, it felt as though they were completely losing themselves in each other.
This time, Arthur didn't hold back.
Athena gasped softly as he pulled her against him and claimed her lips with a fiercer kiss. Their mouths moved together hungrily, neither willing to let the other go. Arthur's hand tightened at her waist while Athena clung to his shoulders.
When he finally broke the kiss, it was only to lower his lips to her neck.
He kissed the line of her throat, then the sensitive skin beneath her ear. Athena shivered sharply, her fingers tightening in his hair as he left a heated mark along her neck.
"Arthur…" she breathed.
Her voice nearly destroyed what remained of his restraint.
In one motion, Arthur wrapped his arms around her firm figure and lifted her into his arms.
