The roar of the demonic crowd grew louder.
It thundered across the unfamiliar stadium until the stone beneath Arthur's feet trembled.
The sound was nothing like the cheers of human spectators.
It was savage.
Hungry.
Cruel.
Demons screamed from the stands, their horns, claws, fangs, and twisted faces illuminated by blood-red lights. Dark elves watched from shadowed balconies with cold, expressionless eyes. Werewolves snarled and slammed their fists against the railings, while vampires sat in elegant silence, their crimson eyes fixed upon the terrified humans below.
Countless other creatures filled the seats.
Some had enormous wings.
Some were covered in scales.
Some possessed multiple eyes.
And some had no faces at all.
Arthur's stomach tightened.
Every student from every academy had been transported into this strange stadium.
But unlike before, they were no longer gathered together in meeting rooms.
