"Come here, Gabriele." She beckoned to the little boy. This was her perfect opportunity.
Mrs. Silvestri ruffled his hair. "You have dirt all over your hands. The true heir to the Silvestri empire shouldn't play around with dirt, you know."
She stared at his dirty hand but couldn't bring herself to touch it.
"But mummy said there's nothing wrong with playing with dirt, as long as I don't get it in my eyes," said Gabriele.
"Same with my mummy," Nathan added.
Mrs. Silvestri cursed under her breath. Not only were her daughters-in-law a handful, but her grandsons had taken after their footsteps as well. They all questioned her.
"Well, I'm telling you that playing with mud is only going to make you look dirty," she said. "Listen to grandma okay?"
Gabriele didn't reply.
