Delfina rang the doorbell and in less than ten seconds, the doors opened.
She saw a servant, she recognized her, and she was sure the woman did also since her eyes widened slightly, but Delfina pretended not to know her.
The day she left that mansion, she turned her back on everything and everyone.
"Ms—Mrs. Silvestri," the woman stuttered, she glanced at the car behind Delfina but since it's heavily tinted, she wouldn't be able to spot Lux patiently waiting inside. "Please come in. Mr. Costa is waiting in the living room."
Delfina walked in, her heart still thudding hard against her chest. The last time she'd been alone with Filippo, which was at her mother's birthday party, he'd beaten her up.
Her right hand moved towards her wrist and touched the wristwatch Lux had given to her a moment ago, his words ringing in her ears.
