The gesture was simple, but something moved in Delfina's belly. She gulped down her saliva while Dominic's gaze landed on her lips, the urge to kiss her suddenly clouding his mind.
Delfina forced her saliva down her throat, her lips parting lightly as his face neared inches closer to hers.
She wanted to stop him, pause at least but what if this was what she wanted as well?
Dominic was dangerously handsome, the kind that would make heads turn if he walked down the street even in tacky clothing. Women would drool over him while men would glare at him in jealousy. He was that handsome and he was her husband, but a contract husband.
What they were about to do was against the rules in their contract.
Just when he was about to close the gap between them fully, the ringtone of a phone chimed.
Dominic paused, his eyes quickly shifting to Delfina's purse, already thinking of ways to murder the person who dared to interrupt them.
